Technique: 5 ⭐️, App: 4 ⭐️

This technique is really amazing. However after starting a new cycle I can’t go pass through the first steps of writing the 3 toxic thoughts. That’s frustrating!

This problem was fixed and I finally went through 7 neurocycles. At some point, there were a few glitches with the app, sometimes a video that didn’t work or the audio stopping when my phone screen turned black, but it didn’t last.

The results largely overcome the little imperfections of the app so I recommend it 100% 😁

Truly changing is hard. But thanks to the neurocycle, which work gradually, I was able to face truths that were filled with difficult emotions and transform them. Everything was worth it and I would do it again. In fact, I’m still using the five steps method regularly without the app because I feel I went through the worst and now I can continue by myself. The app helped me be consistent and gave me the support I needed to face challenging thoughts and emotions. I saw myself evolve through the process and people around me noticed the changes in the energy I give off. I feel stronger now, and more free. I was able to make life changing choices and I can’t wait to see where it’s gonna lead me! 😊 I’m so grateful to Dr Leaf for developing this app.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry for the frustrating experience. The issue you're encountering is actually part of the app's design - after filling in a text box, simply tap anywhere between the boxes on the screen to dismiss the keyboard and continue. There are no "next" buttons for this section. I hope this helps you access the content that might be useful for managing your mental health.

Early days but it’s working

For anyone on the fence about downloading this, this is a genuine and honest review. The app is well designed and user friendly, and there’s no pressure to sign up until you’re ready to. My experience so far:

Im currently a few weeks into my first cycle and it’s been a challenge. Trying to navigate daily life with kids in the mix, and find time to do this has been the biggest challenge. Im yet to find a way to make this consistent. The neurocycling itself can be challenging and requires daily commitment, and works best if you can do it in the morning. It only takes on average about 30mins of your day which is great. Im seeing some early signs that it’s working which is also great.

Also, if your still unsure about this, I actually read Dr Leaf’s ‘cleaning up your mental mess’ book (audio book in my case) first before discovering this app, which is a great way to get initial understanding of what’s happening in your mess of a brain, and how to start getting help to fix it.

Hope this helps. Don’t be a sook, just do it. Start moving towards a better version of you. You’ve got nothing to lose!

Breakthrough

I have experienced so many moments NOW, when I don’t cry or overreact and when I stand back and observe I am so proud that my toxic thought is no longer controlling my behaviours. My mind is less fuzzy and I feel lighter!
