This app is amazing for tracking and controlling phone usage. Super easy to use and really helps me stay focused. Plus, I won the jackpot and got a £250 Nike voucher

Has potential, but still needs a lot of improvements

I really wanted to like Fluidfocus, but it still feels very raw and unfinished. There are a lot of bugs — random glitches, features not working properly, and occasional freezes that make the app frustrating to use. Because of this, it’s hard to rely on it on a daily basis.

Compared to Opal, Fluidfocus just isn’t competitive right now. Opal feels stable and polished, while Fluidfocus feels more like an early beta. The UI needs refinement, performance needs improvement, and the focus tools don’t feel reliable enough yet.

The app has potential, but until the bugs are fixed and the overall experience is more stable, it’s hard to recommend. I might come back in the future, but right now it needs serious work.

Has really good potential

Clean & simple UI, but please, add dark mode option, I keep all apps in dark mode because they help keep my mind calm :) thank you!

Life changing

I can actually study without being distracted and it makes me study with an ulterior motive of wanting to win the jackpot (which eventually I did!!). It’s really good for keeping you motivated and on track while making sure you take frequent breaks with the max amount of time being able to work 50 mins, and giving you guided meditation and ideas for a break. Overall one of the best apps I have

love this app (+jackpot!)

Really like using this app to block apps and help me focus whilst I’m studying / working. Also love that you there is a weekly jackpot - I won the £100 jackpot (chose to get a sports direct voucher) :) Would recommend, great incentive to focus and limit distractions.

Great GUI. Easy to use

Has helped with my CFA studies and at work.

New issue/ hopefully a quick fix:
I have to either remain in the app, or lock the screen with always-on display disabled so that the timer works as expected: if I go onto other apps or stay on the home screen then the timer cancels itself after 5 seconds. This means being productive on my phone say, reading pdfs doesn't gel with having the timer on.
Negates attraction for having an app blocker.

My screen time has improved

I’m a student at college at st Patrick’s, without fluid focus, I could have been missing my deadlines for coursework, I’ve gotten all my coursework all up to date. I couldn’t be anymore thankful for this app ❤️❤️

Great GUI. Easy to use

Has helped with my CFA studies and at work. New issue/ hopefully a quick fix: Countdown no longer stays active (reduces to a 5 second countdown) when 1) I lock my screen or 2) I go onto other apps. The emergence ofn this behaviours is recent to the past week or so. The change negates value add, given the point is to be able to use "good apps" (but not blocked ones) or work on say my Desktop Computer while the countdown is on the background on the phone. In order to maintain the countdown I now have to have the screen on and be in the app, which seems at best like a drain on battery... Looks like the app blocking does at least remain when the 5 seconds are up.
Looks like the coins accrual bug has been fixed though, which is a quick turnaround!

Hi Jimmy - thanks for the feedback, and glad to hear Fluid Focus proving a useful tool for study and work. We recently introduced a degree of strictness on accruing Fluid Coins, as in theory, users could block some (but not all) distracting apps, leave the focus area to use them - whilst also collecting Fluid Coins. I know this is not the case with yourself, but that is the rationale behind this design change. However, If your session was ended following a screen lock, you’ll need to update the following display settings on your iPhone to get around this. 1. Open Settings 2. Display & Brightness 3. Always on Display 4. Toggle it to “off” After doing this, you should be able to run a focus session, lock your screen and remain productive with your desktop work.
