Very Poor Support – Issue Pending for Months

I am extremely disappointed with this app’s customer support. My issue has been pending for the last 3–4 months, and despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no proper resolution.
Every time I contact support, I either receive generic responses or no response at all. It feels like my concern is not being taken seriously. As a user, this is extremely frustrating because I trusted this platform with my transactions.
A service-based app should prioritize timely support, but unfortunately, that is completely missing here. I expected better professionalism and accountability.
I strongly request the team to improve their support system and actually resolve user issues instead of just delaying them.
Until then, I cannot recommend this app to others.

Worst application for money transfer

Recently I added 5000 from my credit card to Freecharge wallet. They charged a fee of 100. While adding the money, there was no warning or indication that users with axis bank will only be able to transfer money to bank account. Upon adding the money, now I’m unable to transfer the money to account. When contacted customer support, they insist to use the wallet money for utility services. If I wanted to use utility service I would have directly paid from my credit card without any fees. Why will I even pay convenience fee for Freecharge to pay my utility bills. They clearly say that the amount will not be refunded to source or bank account. Now my money got stuck in their wallet

Useless app and useless service

I have recharge using this app and its fail money deducted but not done recharge so i raise a complaint and they told me after a month with lots of follow that recharge done from our side and also recharge not shown in app and not show in my transaction i told them your app not showing and how you can say recharge done from your side they give me operator id and transaction id and told me contact service provider I contacted service provider too and they told me we didn’t get received any recharge from freecharge contact them and when i try to contact them from app it gives me error every time something went wrong and they marked my ticket as resolved in their app when i again try raise a tickets unable to place new query ticket since struggling with 2 months for same

So request don’t get use this app it’s worst application and service ever

Worst app , Avoid this App at All Costs!

I wish there was an option to give this app zero stars because that's exactly what it deserves. I can't emphasize enough how terrible my experience has been with this app. It's a complete waste of time and space on your device.
I feel compelled to share my terrible experience to warn others.

Refund Limbo: It's been over two months, and I'm still waiting for a refund for a failed transaction. The fact that I've had to chase this refund for so long is absurd. This app boasts about its services, but when it comes to delivering on promises, it falls miserably short.
Abysmal Customer Service: The customer service provided by this app is beyond terrible. They're slow to respond, if they even bother to respond at all. When they do, it's with vague, unhelpful replies that do nothing to address the issue. It's clear that they couldn't care less about their customers' problems.
Passing the Buck: Here's the real kicker - for a failed transaction, you're told to contact the operator. And when it comes to getting your hard-earned money back, you're told to contact your bank. The app absolves itself of any responsibility, leaving you to navigate a frustrating maze of operators and banks, neither of which seem particularly interested in helping you.
Zero Accountability: This app doesn't take any responsibility for the problems it causes. It's like they're operating in a parallel universe where customer satisfaction and integrity don't matter. They're quick to take your money but slow to provide any real service.
In conclusion, this app is a complete and utter disappointment. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from it. There are countless other options out there that actually deliver on their promises and provide decent customer support. This app is a shining example of how NOT to run a business. Save yourself the headache and avoid it at all costs.

Chance to have a comeback into the market!

Enable International number based login for NRIs. The announcement has been made 6 months back and there is no provider in the market that has enabled this facility for any user yet.

It would be great if there is a convenience for NRIs to login with their international numbers which are already mapped in their bank accounts for UPI transactions.

No transaction history and money also deducted from wallet!!

I have added 15k to my wallet , money was added successfully afterwards I try withdraw it to my bank account , amount deducted from wallet and never credited to bank account and moreover there is no history for this transaction. Then i tried to talk with customer care and write email for same but customer care agent “Ms Sania” was rude and tell me write email instead of calling. Isn’t this your job to help customers. Pathetic response worst app which doesn’t keep track of transactions also. I will write the to RBI that you guys are eating customers money and doesn’t even keep records for the transactions.

Fraud app with severe security flaws

I had been using this Freecharge app for long because of giving cashbacks and offers. I had mostly used for bill payments and recharges.

Last week, I had a plan to buy some items from Flipkart. When I gone through the Offers section in the Freecharge app, I have noticed an offer in which when I open the Flipkart website through Freecharge app and search for products, I might get discount on the item price. So, I logged into Flipkart account using my mobile number through Freecharge app. Realised none of the products have offers, I didn't bought anything

On the next day, I have got lot of OTPs from my bank regarding the purchase of items from Flipkart worth ₹4900. Thank god, I have noticed that and logged into my Flipkart account. Found that someone is trying to buy Google Play recharge coupon multiple times using my credit card which is already saved in the Flipkart account.

Realised that this is a fraudulent act or severe security issue from Freecharge side in which the customer login information is exposed to hackers or the app developers itself. I can say that for sure because I am a software developer. So, decided to delete Freecharge account forever and raised request for that. I will not recommend this fraud app to anyone in future.

Also, I have recently noticed that most of the transactions are failing by giving incorrect failure information. For example, even though my bank account have sufficient balance, the app shows insufficient balance while trying to make payments.

Useless app

Always glitchy and can’t fetch bill details. The promo codes don’t work half of the time.

Not recommending to anyone

I have downloaded this application by seeing the cash back and other offers available.
I tried to configure this app using my email ID, it replied me that some unknown person registered this app using my email ID and his or her mobile number. Then I have contacted on freecharge support email to revoke my email usage from their account but the reply was not favourable and it is not done still.

Then again by seeing the offers I have created another email ID and registered my account did some transactions and purchases, but I haven’t received any cash back as stated in their application or in 1mg (shopping application). Again I contacted freecharge support email with all transactions details but still no feedback from them. The cash back supposed to receive in 72hours but it’s been more than one week. It’s very disappointing and I’m not recommending this application to anyone ..

Not able to apply promo in the IPhone app

I am not able to add promo in my app. Instead it auto-applies some other promo, which is not beneficial for me. This is not the case in the website. Please look into the matter.

Not Trustworthy

Transaction success rate is very low in this app. Even for a simple recharge transaction, they will take minutes to process the same that too mostly unsuccessfully.
The worst part is you will get the refund only after 7-9 days in your account. This is really pathetic considering all other such apps like paytm provide instant refunds in case of failed transaction if any.

It’s really shameful and horrible for such an app to be listed on App Store. Should be removed instantly. It’s looting in open people’s hard earned money. Concerned authorities are required to take some action against these fraudulent apps.

Cashback issue

They says u r eligible for cashback upto 500 , no promo required. But when i do 2 recharge i dnt get any cashback

Freecharge axis credit card is not opning in app and coupons are not opening too

First of all the privide credit card for freecharge and i have applied for the one and got approved for it also setup done for all the stuff with the axis bank agent and freecharge apps credit card setup section like setting up mpin and all for credit card but after all the things done when i click on credit card section in freecharge app it asks for mpin and after putting mpin a blank window comes there is nothing after that even i waited for 20 min in same window for many times same issue for the coupon of brands ,after making any recharge there is option to choose coupons from various brands like puma or mcd etc but after clicking on coupons section after doing recharge or billpay same issue is observed only a blank window
