Can’t confirm different payment amount
Usually I have trouble trying to make a payment over my total due but now I absolutely am unable to make payment. The confirm button goes from blue to gray. I have the option to pay the amount due but when I switch to “other” or “principal” boxes and attempt to input an amount is when it happens. The app has been great other than the payment hiccups. Would like to avoid making 2 payments if possible.

Chat is useless, takes too long to get a rep and they usually can't help anyway

Can't Make Payments
I can't make a payment on this app. I make them online just fine. I go through the entire process of entering the info only to get a message that the payment can't be processed because the system is "down for maintenance." That happens, but this is more than that. I've tried for two months to make payments at different times only to get the same message over and over. I give up. I'll just look at my balance I guess.

Don’t do autopay
I try to make all my payments at the first of the month so I don’t have to worry about them for the rest of the month. I did just that on April 6 and submitted $700. Well it’s April 21 and they took another payment so now I’m negative $500 in my bank account. Whatever you do, do not set up auto pay because they will steal your money

I just received a phone call from a Chevy dealership because they noticed that I had checked my balance inside of the GM Financial app. This is some really scary stuff. He said that he noticed that I had checked my balance payoff amount and wanted to talk about selling me a new car.

The app is not working properly. I’ve deleted the app and added it back. It’s giving the same error saying that system is currently down. The app needs to be fixed.
Junk
The chat bot is unhelpful and payments don’t get taken out fr days after you make payment and then if the allocated funds aren’t in the account you paid with when they decide to take it anymore because it’s a low balance account meant for payments like this they take away mobile payments altogether. Plus every time you check the payoff info you get a call about it. I don’t want a call I just want to know the payoff amount. If I want to pay it off I’ll call you.

App usage notifies dealer
Every time I look at loan balance the dealer sends me an email asking if I am ready to buy a new car.
Tried to update autopay several times
I’ve tried to update autopay several times now and it always says the system is down for maintenance. So frustrating having to call to do this.
Finally fixed
Update: The app is working more but I’m almost finished paying the loan 💸 now and I’ll be deleting the app for good within the next 5-6 months.
Never had any issues with this app until iOS 26 now I can get past the login window. As soon as my password is entered the app crashes and I have to start over. I haven’t been able to login to the app since the iOS update.

Useless. Cannot “confirm amount” when trying to make a payment
I usually make payments on their website. Today, working from my iPad, clicked my saved URL in Chrome Calendar, this GM Financial app recognized the link and opened instead. Okay fine, I’d pay that way BUT: no matter what I did, even simply selecting the option for my usual monthly payment, the “Confirm Amount” button would never become available. So cannot make a payment.

Crash and glitches
The app continues to crash and glitch. Using the app has been horrible every step of the way from creating an account to making a payment. It shouldn’t be this difficult to make a payment and no other app gives me issues as much as this one when it comes to simply trying to make a payment!
So many problems
The app in their systems do not communicate whatsoever. App says that I’m set up for auto payments never takes my payment. I get so many late fees.
The only official app that doesn’t have the phone number working from the app
The most important “contact customer support via phone button” doesn’t work for more than a month (even I reported it 3 times :))

App Crashing
I recently downloaded the app for convenience, but it consistently crashes every time I enter my password. I’ve already tried restarting my device and reinstalling the app, but the problem continues.

I have used this app for years. Now all of a sudden when I go to login the app crashes. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, still crashes. This is very frustrating because now I have to go to the website to make a payment. Please come out with a solution or an update!!!! Highly disappointed!!!
