Nuisance
Opens a non-dismissible pop up asking for permissions for the mic. The problem is it forces you to choose yes or no and blocks everything else until you choose. I chose no and promptly uninstalled it.

Знаете мало того что элементарно Ютубе не могу скачать так и ещё вообще приложение вылетает ваши требования насчёт IOS тема надоела Assistant вылетает плохо очень плохо надеялся всё зря 😡🤬😡🤬

Google Assistant is being phased out on phones in favor of Gemini and this classic app will disappear from most app stores by the end of 2026. You don’t need to uninstall it right now just wait for the transition. The classic Google Assistant is still on iPhones that haven’t been upgraded yet and it’s also on low end or older devices. You don’t have to uninstall the classic Google Assistant (THIS APP) before or after downloading GEMINI. Once it’s installed Gemini will take over & the old app “Google Assistant”will stop working on that device anyway.

Very limited in scope
I tried to do a very simple thing. Upload an image of a schedule and have Assistant create the calendar events. This doesn't work since there's no camera or upload button. First it claimed to be able to do what I wanted, but couldn't answer when asked about how to upload a photo. It kept asking about when the event was. If I wanted to manually type in the event, I would have done so myself. Complete waste of time.
