QR (barcode??) scanning doesn’t work. Camera can’t focus on the stick so close. Add a zoom function or make it compatible with newer iphones? Had to just guesstimate by eye…also whole concept is slightly unsafe…
Not working on newest IOS update
When I updated my phone to the latest IOS, I can no longer focus on the test.

literally doesn’t work. any time you enter the lot number it fails, unable to access any features. useless app, the 5 star reviews are probably left by the employees.

It’s a must to have app for any GoStix users. The technology is a cutting edge enabling users to measure Lenti, cytokines, etc within 10mins!
Worst experience, not worth buying the kit
I had everything ready, and it keeps telling me the lot number is incorrect both by scanning and typing. I Tried to call the technical support from two different numbers on the takara website, and both kept me waiting on the line for more than 10 mins and then put me to voice mail. The online so-called live chat is the same trick, after entering numerous personal information, it asks you to write down information and they will get back to you who knows when!

Worst App
It gives you different values of the same sample with the same concentration that are not even close. Highly inaccurate. Doesn’t work with iPhone 13 pro.
Camera won’t focus
Camera won’t focus with brand new iPhone 15 which means I can neither scan the barcode of the gostix nor am I able to quantify my virus
Pretty much unusable with app update
Current version will not have camera focus on iPhone 15 pro and fails to detect viral particles or give correct readings.
Error prevented entire product from working
As others said it would scan the code for the kit lot. Infuriatingly it also wouldn’t accept manual entry saying it was not recognized and so it wouldn’t let me image or scan. They tried too hard to make it simple…it isn’t clear if you can image and upload for analysis later. As others have said it’s a bit ridiculous to make people scan with their phones when working with virus. A nice idea but overall impractical and poorly executed.

Easy and informative
Hardware is as easy as an at home Covid or pregnancy test. Software enabled me to quantify my Lenti without having to make a standard curve. Very convenient! Great product!
No redeeming quality
First of all, the app doesn’t work. It would not recognize the lot number I have which renders the app useless. But inherently this app is terrible. Whose brilliant idea it was to have people handle virus then touch your phone?!

App keeps crashing
This app is very unreliable. It keeps crashing after I start the app. Leading to me not being able to test my lentivirus concentration.
Glitchy
The app keeps force closing whenever I go to enter my email. Same for my colleagues, so it has not worked for me yet.
not accurate
i have so many problem with this app, many times the titer values turn out to be 0, even though i see clear bands on the Go-stix. multiple readings from same virus at same times also have very different values.

So sorry for this. Ver 1.1.1 has a bug where it returns zero if you overload the cassette (outside of the standard curve, explained in the product manual). The fix is in Ver 1.2.6 and is releasing within days of this message, a pop will be activated asking you to dilute your sample and load onto a fresh cassette. ... Takara Bio USA
