50 cents added to cost is fraud , entitled polices . Parking lot is beast up and no space to park or exit truck. App is one of 3 ways to pay. Other two fail regularly and this option is only one that works regularly.50 cents for convenience is what is said when charged.
Worst experience
Got triple charged on May 20, 2026. Customer service rep told me it’s their technical issue and will have someone look into it and refund the money in 5 to 7 business days. 2 weeks went by, no refund still. Contacted customer service again, the other rep told me the same thing. Now it’s June 25, 2026, still no refund. This is ridiculous. Don’t waste your time contacting their customer service rep as they can’t do anything about any issues you encountered, just a waste of your time. Use your time more wisely doing something more meaningful.

Easy to use
When I went to pay for an extension for parking, I was granted free time. It meant be because I had already paid a lot. Still appreciated it.
Hang Tag ICBC head office
You cannot access the app in the parking lot. It won’t work in Lonsdale Quay, it will only work outside. Very frustrating. Also took forever to sign up and access my account.
No Apple Pay
App doesn’t offer Apple Pay, you have to manually put in your credit card. At least offer Apple Pay, no one has their credit card on hand all the time. Found another convenient location to park for free because I didn’t have my card with me

Lack of fluid User Interface resulting in parking ticket
For a new user, this is the most difficult parking app I have had to setup an account for. I was going to a restaurant with friends and eventually I gave up on purchasing my parking ticket because it took me longer that 10 minutes to setup my account, and then I got slammed with a 47 dollar parking ticket. I will not be parking in hangTag zones from now on.
For the software developers: don’t have the software error out if you fill in two fields correctly rather than just filling one field. What is the purpose of penalizing the user for entering correct information? That is seriously diabolical.
Also, I started with trying to fill out fields online (safari) but I couldn’t even click to enter info in one field on safari, so I tried downloading the app but it wasn’t any easier. Maybe focus on user experience from a first time user trying to purchase parking and time people on how long it takes or what issues they are having so the process can be more streamlined.

Double billed, no help
Web site for parking was broken, support suggested I try the app. The app was giving errors, and it ended up double billing me for parking. I asked for a refund of one of the fees and support ignored me. Frustrating, wasted an hour on this. I will avoid hangTag parking lots if I can.

The add doesn’t allow me to add a license plate after selecting the province. Ended up using the website instead.

Well, I do find it easy to use the app to pay for my parking, I really don’t like the fact that I’m being forced to pay a one dollar convenience fee. The app itself is making it convenient, the fact that I have to pay extra dollar to park is ridiculous. I actually also prefer paying at the lot. I do know people that do not have a smart phone, so what option do they have if they need to park? I understand this was put in place during Covid when people were having no contact with each other, but we’re way past Covid. Hire some people, actually let us pay to park, and provide some jobs.

I am unable to Log out of the APP which leaves me vulnerable to hacking. There are no instructions and no support on the APP HangTag is not a great option!
Worst application
Not user friendly whatsoever. Whoever designed this app clearly had no idea about UI/UX. Simple tasks feel unnecessarily complicated, and the overall experience is frustrating from start to finish.
Terrible
Work at a hospital and constantly have issues. I don’t carry cash with me. Have been ticketed twice because after 15 mins of trying to pay for parking I do in fact have to work and before I can sort it out I get a ticket. Figure it out please!
