Nightmare loop unable to complete registration
British bureaucracy at its nadir. Stuck in an eternal loop of needing to confirm my identity but never directed to the correct place to do it. Useless and zero CX.

Given the huge complexity that we used to experience when calculating and paying tax, this is a breath of fresh air
Incomplete
The app does not take account of correspondence received by HMRC. It also takes a while to confirm receipt of paper SA filings. It is obviously bureaucratic & takes no account of the impact of these omissions & delays upon law-abiding citizens, who are, by no means, tax-dodgers. It’s an arcane institution, with the self-righteousness of the Post Office, but condoned by the complacency of government.

SNo reminder SA 2nd payment on account tax
I have just received a letter to advise me of an overdue payment for SA Second Payment on account tax.
At no point did you send me a reminder to pay this tax - you have my email address.
Instead you waste money sending me a letter when it is overdue.
You have charged me interest on a tax that I do not actually owe at this time. It is for a sum that would be paid on my next tax return.
Not impressed!

Struggled
Hi I’d like to think i enlisted enrolled to help to save account , I’ve tried several times with both my accounts, and failed ?? Somehow it’s gone thru ? And I don’t know how I did it ??? !

It’s very outdated app . Difficult to use and understand

It’s difficult, old fashioned and doesn’t even work in real time. Having to wait for a calculation is nuts.

It is actually a good app ie it makes doing the job of seeing what you owe and paying it easy.
Work in progress
I checked the app recently and did not find any reminders or notification of arrears. Today I got a letter of an overdue amount. Used the app, found the same message this time and was quickly able to pay. Full marks for quick and easy payment option but how could I miss the overdue notification? It should have been big and red. My error maybe, but a more prominent message may help avoid arrears in future.

This is well done! So far I could get all the information I needed. It's really intuitive and easy.
Boot the Bot
Apart from the very frustrating and circular A1 “assistant” the app is really easy to access and use (unless you have a slightly different reason for contacting HMRC, such as asking simply “Please update and reconcile my tax statement(s)”. Too difficult for the wee soul Ended in a phone call, much better experience.

Forcing One Login
I have been using this for months to use Help to Save. But surely it is asking me to scan my passport. This is digital ID through the back door. I will delete the app and save money independently.
App icon broken
Fix your app icon behaviour. In dark mode on ios 26 it reverts back to the light mode icon when the app is placed in a folder on the home screen. What might seem like a minor issue it clearly shows the govt can’t be trusted to even develop an app properly. How can they be trusted to keep our information safe when they can’t even get the basics right.

Buggy sign in process
Good app but log in with my government ID each time, type in the 2FA code from the text message. Choose a pin, confirm the pin then it asks if I want to sign in with Face ID. I click to allow that, yet every time I log in again I have to repeat the process as above where it asks me again to choose a pin, confirm it then asks do I wish to sign in with Face ID again! App settings set to allow Face ID, so why does it ask me to allow each time and not do it? Buggy, at least on mine.
As a side note, I like how you charge me a daily fee for overdue tax which wasn’t even overdue. Yet I’ve been waiting two weeks so far for my tax refund! Maybe I’ll charge YOU late fees!
