Disappointed
I have an 800 series dishwasher, which performs well, but some of the advertised features are only available in the app, such as the power wash zones. Unfortunately, this feature has been broken since an update in June, effectively rendering it useless. I could have saved money and bought a less expensive dishwasher that doesn’t have this feature, since I don’t have it now. If you were considering this dishwasher, i would look elsewhere. I can’t recommend an appliance that relies on a buggy app to provide users access to all of its advertised features.

App keeps crashing
Application opens and immediately crashes. Repeatedly.

Buggiest app I have ever seen
Bugs bugs bugs. Took 3 hours to add favourites to a microwave. Riddled with bugs.
Fake 4.5 rating
Used to (somewhat) work before the app was updated and then the appliances would show disconnected. I did what the app suggested, I deleted the appliances and tried to add them again, only to find that they would not connect anymore. Not only that, but the fridge would no longer let me reset the wifi. So, now I’m left with the only option to call a technician. Thanks for nothing, Bosch! Expensive dumb appliances!

App sucks
First of all, I wish I had a delayed start Button and didn’t have to rely on a app to start my dishwasher in the middle of the night when power is cheap. We are on time of use billing here.
Also, when I set my dishwasher to start overnight, I don’t appreciate having to reset it every time to put an extra glass or tea cup in. The app should maintain the setting regardless of when the door has been opened & closed.
What a pain. Never buying another dishwasher that relies on an app for delay start, ever again.

Sucks
It's too bad. The Ovens are the weak links but it's the software not the hardware. It could be fixed. Bad User Interface!!!
What’s the point?
This app doesn’t do anything except increase the time and effort required to start my Bosch dishwasher. It’s a joke. Very poor user instructions and not at all intuitive. It’s laughably bad.
Adds convenience
Sometimes loses connection with the appliance, but works well when it works.
PowerControl wash zone adjustment is broken
I liked the app when I got my Bosch 80” dishwasher in June. My favorite feature is the wash zone adjustment feature. Now the feature is broken as the adjustment zoom image disappeared. Very disappointed. I saw a few others have reported the same issue and the developers acknowledged but no fix yet.

The app covers the basics across my 3 devices Fridge, Oven, and Dishwasher. It’s missing two features I really need:
1. The current status of the fridge door. I get an alert when it’s open for (a non-configurable) “too long”, but no way to know current status to check that was rectified and someone closed the door.
2. The only thing I really want the Dishwasher app to do is turn on after midnight, during low rate electricity hours. I should be able to do this on the panel. It seems to be locked away in the app and is impossible to configure. I’ve tried to start it at 1am multiple times, and been successful once. Really. I’m pretty good with tech and just can’t get it working.

Why do I need an app for this?
Instead of having a perfectly good “Delay” button, there is instead a “Remote Start” button. So if you want a delayed start, you *have* to use the app. So instead of pressing the “Delay” button a couple of times, you have to press the “Remote Start” button, then go to your app, set up the delay there, and press “Start” on the app. It turns a 5 second process into closer to a minute. Ridiculous.

POS App
This app constantly drops the connection to my dishwasher and is very difficult to reconnect. It sucks because there are features that I can’t use without the app.
Dishwasher sucks
Bad app, confusing as heck. Does not dry well even with crystal dry. My 15 yr old Bosch was better

TL;DR: App functionality for PowerControl of lower dishwasher rack is broken. Needs to be fixed.

However, this functionality can only be controlled through the app. When I first got the dishwasher in November 2025 I was able to see the PowerControl image of the lower rack of the dishwasher and select individual quadrants for light, medium or heavy cleaning. It worked.
In the last 2-3 months (or ever since I upgraded to iOS 26), this functionality broke. I no longer see the image of the lower rack, so I no longer can custom control the PowerControl cleaning for the lower rack.
I called Bosch support and they had me reset the dishwasher and remove it from my app and uninstall the app and reconnect everything. This resulted in the loss of the historical data of usage and of my having to reconfigure settings I had previously tweaked. This DID NOT fix the core issue. PowerControl is still missing.
A Bosch tech was supposed to come, however I saw another Home Connect App review mentioning the same problem, and the App creator provided an email address to send issues. I got a response that night by confirming my suspicion that this is an app issue that started happening after some iOS updates.
Developers, I hope you can fix this issue soon.

Recent issues
App is nice to work dishwasher from phone. Has a few glitches lately where it keeps changing the icon when I open it. No idea why. Also can’t edit the power control sprayer on the bottom now. Gives the option but doesn’t pop up
Censorship and Garbage
My most recent review was deleted. Ooh, poor Bosch got their feelings hurt. Bosch cannot get it together. This app is abysmal and will NOT connect to my dishwasher. Between the app being utterly terrible and their lack of accountability for awful ice makers, Bosch cannot get the hardware or software right. Terrible company that charges a premium for terrible experiences. I bought Bosch to save time and it’s been nothing but a time suck and headaches. Do better.

Power Control
Power Control intensive wash zones in app are not working in latest update. They had been working previously. Now the zones are not displayed so they can’t be selected.
