Terrible software
Extremely disappointed that I need to rely on this junk app to use basic features like delay start. Difficult and finicky to use. Just give me my buttons back…
Too many ads!!
Ok, I understand that it’s a source of revenue, but I don’t need the ads for supplies and their partnerships. I just want to use my appliances please.
I’ve tried everything, it won’t pair
Tried resetting the whole thing, unplugging and plugging back in, holding it down before hitting “add appliance” holding it down AFTER hitting add appliance… heeelllloooooo
Careless Interface with SmartThings
Der Entwickler der App hat meine frühere Rezension gelesen. Er entschuldigte sich für die Unannehmlichkeiten und riet mir, den Bosch-Support zu kontaktieren. Das tat ich, doch dort konnte man mir nicht weiterhelfen. Die Mitarbeiterin von Bosch wusste weder etwas über SmartThings noch über die Existenz einer Home-Connect-Schnittstelle. Sie verwies mich an Samsung SmartThings, während man mir dort wiederum riet, sich an den Bosch-Support zu wenden. Es war eine Sackgasse. Unternehmensgründer Robert Bosch schuf ein Unternehmen, das höchste mechanische Qualität erreichte. Lässt sich das Gleiche auch über Home Connect sagen?
Zu den zahlreichen Mängeln gehören:
1) Wichtige Steuerungsoptionen fehlen (Crystal Dry / Pure Dry, Sanitize und Half Load lassen sich nicht aktivieren).
2) Die SmartThings-Bezeichnungen der verschiedenen Programme stimmen nicht mit denen auf dem Bedienfeld des Geräts überein (Intensiv 70° und Glas 40° werden weder auf meinem Geschirrspüler noch in der HomeConnect-App als Programmnamen angezeigt).
3) Die Anzeige lässt sich nicht von Celsius auf Fahrenheit umstellen (vielleicht eine Kleinigkeit, aber dennoch ein Fehler).
Ich möchte nicht für jedes einzelne Haushaltsgerät eine separate App verwenden müssen. Die meisten meiner Haushaltsgeräte sind von Samsung oder SmartThings-kompatibel. Bosch hat hier leider versagt.

The Bosch representative knew nothing about SmartThings or the existence of a Home Connect interface. She referred me to Samsung SmartThings, while they, in turn, advised me to contact Bosch support. It was a dead end. Company founder Robert Bosch created a business that achieved the highest level of mechanical quality. Can the same be said for Home Connect?
The numerous shortcomings include:
1) Control options are not supported (cannot activate Crystal Dry / Pure Dry, Sanitize, or Half Load)
2) The SmartThings names for the different run cycles do not match the names on the device control panel (Intensive 70º and Glass 40º are not labels on my dishwasher or in the HomeConnect app).
3) No way to change Celsius to Fahrenheit (minor, but also careless).
I do not want a different app for each and every appliance in my home. Most of my appliances in my home are Samsung or SmartThings compatible. Bosch has sadly missed the mark.

Useless app
One of the main reasons why you need this app is to set delayed start. It should have been button on the dishwasher in the first place nobody should have to load the dishes and then find their phone to turn it on.
Keeping the design problem aside jumping into the pairing problem. I recently the dishwasher complained about firmware update after firmware update the dishwasher wouldn’t connect. App would always show as disconnected, it wouldn’t pair up. I tried ac power off and on, reset but none of that would solve the problem.
Long story short, you need this app to set delayed start, unless this app shows some mercy it wouldn’t connect and I can’t program delayed start.

Awesome App
I love this app. My appliances literally can have a conversation with me. I always use this app to start my dishwasher
Just awful. Constantly logs off
That “single key id” junk does not work. Logged in with phone number. Now it does not recognize it and says “that app requires an email please add it”. Fine. Ah, nope “this email is already used”. So you have or you don’t? Pick one. And besides, do a Face ID. And why do I need yet another account that 100% will be hacked for my damn dishwasher???

Need update
Ability to customize wash intensity of specific zones disappeared
Still Needs Tweaking. I deleted the app. Garbage.
With every update, this app gets worse. Now, I lost all connection. The app will not add my appliances. Says I’m not connected to wifi when in fact I am. Web socket error. But there’s no problem with the damn recipes.
Terrible app - does not connect
Despite my IT experience I was not able to connect this app to my dishwasher. Waste of time to try.
Great App
Love the convenience of turning the appliances on and off from a distance as needed.
They need to hire UI designer
Great functionality, but they didn’t think about the UI and how it’s laid out and what’s easy and how users want to use the application. Functionally that is useful as frequently hidden.
Nice functions but clunky to use with frustrating time delay feature
The app has nice functions, however, it takes several seconds to connect to the appliances. Certain basic features, such as start delay for dishwashing are only available on the app. Also, once the time delay is set, if you open the dishwasher to add a dirty dish, the dishwasher stops the time delay so you have to go back into the app and press the delayed start again. So if your kid actually follows your rules and puts the dirty dish into the dishwasher while time delay is set but does not tell you, the dishwasher does not turn on and you have dirty dishes in the morning. Frustrating!

Too complicated
Ridiculously complicated just to access basic functions. Basically the only reason to use this app is that Bosch eliminated delayed start from the machines and this app is the only way to perform that now.
Horrible
Update: this app is still horrible even after updates, only connecting correctly half the time and won’t recognize the delayed time start time much of the time. What a POS!
My prior review: Wasn’t pleased to learn we could only schedule delayed wash using the App. In the past few months it lost our preferred cycle setting, then, with this App change we had to completely reconnect by finding the model number and login. Why didn’t the new app have this info?? We should only need to enter login info, if that!!

Worst app ever!
This app provides very little value and makes using the dishwasher more complicated than it needs to be. We had the prior model of the same dishwasher, but the new one eliminated basic functionality (like delayed start) and put it in the app. So now, instead of taking a second to push the delayed start button, you have to open the app, wait for it to connect (usually takes about 30 seconds) and then it’s several taps to get it started. Really annoying.

Works great when it works
The app worked great for a week and a half then it stopped working with my Bosch Dishwasher it can detect the dishwasher but it cannot connect to it. And no, I am not calling a customer support phone number. I will do without the app but don't like being teased by it.
Don’t Even Bother
The app is terribly confusing and unhelpful as is the support section if for some reason, your system disconnect disconnects from the Wi-Fi you can spend hours trying to get it. Reconnected to the app totally not worth it. This was when using Bosch appliances.
What happened?!?!
I don’t know what you’ve done but now we cannot connect at all with the most recent changes. We’ve lost our login ability and have to start over and it won’t connect. I cannot change settings in the actual dishwasher. Very annoyed.
I will never buy another Bosch appliance… Because of this app
Whoever is accountable for the design of this application needs to be sent to remedial human factors training. Controlling our Bosch 800 series dishwasher with this is possible once you figure out the quirks, but I’d rather just have a dishwasher with real buttons.
