Unreliable Service

This cleaning service is very unreliable. Cleaners cancel last minute and don’t show up. I guess you get what you pay for. I canceled my membership because I need a reliable quality service. This is not it.

Great find!!!

A little hard to understand the appointment schedule and how to apply the discount but the cleaning and friendly service made up for it!

Least Reliable Cleaning App

Assigned cleaners on this app has canceled on me five times now I downloaded this app to take advantage of the initial free cleaning and on every occasion, the cleaner found an excuse and not come and cancel. One cleaner canceled while driving to the apartment after they called me and said that they hate working later in the day as if it was my fault that they accepted this job. He proceeded to get mad at me on the phone and tell me to cancel the job and I told him no I wasn’t the one who told him to accept it. Then a cleaner refused to start a job when she was inside my apartment building because she didn’t want to climb up two flights of stairs. She then falsely cleaned on the app, but she couldn’t get into the apartment when she was inside the building and I was standing at the door of my apartment. It’s been a month now not a single cleaner has shown up to this apartment and one of these cleanings counted as my promo initial Cleaning. Do not download this app. The people on it are flaky and the customer service is horrendous.

Unscrupulous

You gave me an estimate then charged almost $100 more. No additional services from original order were provided. I’ve tried to contact you by message & email but have not heard back.

Complete Scam

Stay as far away from Homeaglow as possible.

They lure you in with an inexpensive introductory cleaning, which I understood was an incentive to sign up. What I did not expect was the number of additional fees that followed. Based on my experience, the costs continued to pile up at nearly every step.

1. Additional hourly fees
You book a cleaning for a certain number of hours and pay the cleaner their hourly rate. However, Homeaglow also adds its own fee for each hour of cleaning. So the advertised cleaner rate does not reflect what you ultimately pay.

2. Processing fees on top of the membership
You’re already paying a monthly membership fee, yet there is also a substantial processing fee after each cleaning—in addition to the other hourly charges. I found the overall fee structure excessive and frustrating.

3. Issues with cleaners and a limited dispute window
Two of the three cleaners I booked did not stay for the full amount of time I had reserved. Despite that, I was charged for the booked time. Homeaglow also gives customers a limited window to dispute issues.

In my case, I had a cleaning immediately before leaving for the weekend and wasn’t able to properly inspect the work until I returned. By then, I discovered incomplete work and what I believed were charges for time that was not actually worked. (Paid extra for baseboard cleaning and they were untouched) When I tried to address it, I was told it was too late. That left me feeling like I had very little recourse.

4. Then came the cancellation charge
After becoming tired of the fees and problems with the service, I decided to cancel my membership. That’s when I discovered yet another charge: it cost me $175 to cancel.

Between the monthly membership, hourly fees, processing fees, my experiences with incomplete cleaning, and finally a $175 cancellation charge, I was extremely dissatisfied with this service.

I attempted to upload a photo to support my review but was apparently unable to do so.

Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend staying away from Homeaglow. Read the membership and cancellation terms very carefully before signing up so you understand exactly what you may be agreeing to and what it could ultimately cost you.
