Used to be great.
Homebase had gone downhill. The availability function works only when it wants to. Switching locations works if you cross your fingers. The cashout integration hasn’t worked on iPhones in 2 weeks and support ghosts you. Started my trial with another app.
New update sucks
The new update on the earnings section is terrible the old earnings section was way better and way easier to understand.
Glitchy
This app takes forever to open and whenever it FINALLY opens and I try to request time off it will glitch- the screen will go black- and my phone will stop for several seconds. Most annoying app I’ve ever had to use.
iOS cashout error
So I haven’t been able to use the cashout feature for the last week and a half. Support had me uninstall and reinstall the app twice which didn’t work, then told me it was an issue that was being investigated, then told me it was an issue with iOS users. When I informed them that my fiance has an iOS device and cashed out perfectly fine, they said that it only affected some users and didn’t know when a fix would be available. Do better please. That cash out service is invaluable to lower income people.

Functionality broken
Switching between locations no longer works. When choosing from the dropdown at the top the location doesn’t switch. If I close the app and reopen the newly selected location loads. This is on an iPhone pro max 15 fully patched.
Also when editing someone’s time card, the time is half off the bottom of the screen and isn’t readable until a new selection is made.

AI USAGE
i use this app for my work & had an agreement pop up that included AI making the schedule—business owner later will approve. This is so lazy and outrageous. I do not want AI creating my work schedule. If I deny the agreement, it logs me out.
Terrible
I have to restart the app sometimes 4 times before anything loads, often making our employees late for work. Any button you press on the app to go to a new page reverts you to the previous page then you have to hit the button again. At the end of every shift it asks “why didn’t you take this break?” When there was no break required, even if the employee has already taken a break. You work 10 minutes and it tells you to take a lunch break. If you try to clock in even 15 seconds early it tells you you need a manager to approve. It’s a very poor app

Progressively getting worse.
First, During 24’ the celebrations in Homebase was a useful tool to highlight the significance our peers and now its such a boring part of the app. What is the point of removing the celebrations emblems and clean UI it once had to replace it with a garbage UI and soulless chat. At that point just remove celebrations…
Second, WHERE ARE MY SHIFT BUDDIES! That was an important piece for Homebase because I could see the crew who would be working that day to inform other people from work who were going to be insight. We need shift buddies back!

Poor connection quality
This app is ok. But the feature to cash out is amazing but….. it has NOT BEEN WORKING. Contacted support and they say it’s on Apple phones, the androids are working fine. I need my money… now! Fix it!

Cash out not working. Bugged.
When it hit cash out on the setting tab it displays a portal over the app that allows me to select 0-100$ cash out either instantly for $5 or a couple days later for free. It doesn’t matter which option it hit. The button toggles. And the screen acts like it’s loading then goes RIGHT back to the same screen with no completion message. Bugged. No deposit was made. It worked last pay cycle not since last last Friday has it worked.

The managing availability part of the app refuses to work, super slow to load app and usually have to restart app few times before it responds.

Love the app for my work but have some suggestions!
Everything is set up very well and easy to understand and manage. My biggest issue I personally have is how my employees can change their availability at any given time which makes making the schedule so difficult so we’ve turned to manually doing availability and don’t allow Homebase availability for our workforce! Other than that, literally love it.
