Not bad but doesn’t import nutrition from Apple Health (or anywhere at all)

App looks ok for blood tests and summarizes data nicely, showing you changes in blood markers over time. It’s good it integrates with Apple Health but it doesn’t seem to read any historical data (didn’t show any of my weekly exercise or get my height, weight or body composition). It also has absolutely no way of importing nutrition data - neither from Apple Health nor anywhere else. I already use another application to track micronutrients and macros (cronometer), I’m certainly not going to log twice into this app.

Simple unprompted insights

Love that the app pulls in my tracking and bio marker data to make unprompted recommendations based on my habits and data

A very satisfied customer

InsideTracker gives me science-backed insights into my blood results, helping me understand exactly how my body’s performing. Their recommendations are clear and actionable, and I’ve seen measurable results since following them.

App Doesn't Work

App doesn’t work at all anymore

The health data I didn’t know was available to me

It’s been so helpful and cool to get my blood results that map out specifically what ranges apply to me (age, gender). Then to have each biomarker defined and explained, and how to make them better, has given me a level of personalization I haven’t ever had before. The app is easy to use and full of tools and info.

Great app for health tracking

I compared with Function Health but I chose this because they’ve been around for much longer and don’t appear to be VC backed.

Scam

I spent quite a bit of money to purchase a blood draw and received good feedback. Unfortunately when they switched to subscription model they deleted all my feedback and recommendations. So now I basically have an $800 blood draw that would have cost me $50-$100 bucks at quest. Do not trust this company with your medical information, they are completely untrustworthy.

The best biomarker analysis service

I’ve tried Function, Superpower, and InsideTracker. Of the three, InsideTracker is easily the best for longevity/optimization. Analysis is highly personalized. The others are surprisingly generic. InsideTracker’s “Healthspan” categories make interpretation easy, and uncovered a sleep issue the others missed - super important for recovery. This is the sort of insight that makes the cost worthwhile for me. Also, the others had a lot of unexpected extra charges for things I didn’t really need or could get from my PCP/covered by insurance. For InsideTracker, I also discovered that I can upload results from my PCP. A+

Could be a lot better

Great concept but app is just full of bugs and seemingly archaic

Works fairly well, except nutrition deep dive

I’ve been using the app for around 18 months. I think I’ve used most of the features, but decided I’d like more nutrition information. Attempting to enter foods and supplements not the app is cumbersome at best and nonworking at worst. Scanning an item or barcode returns only wrong items, heats up phone until it shuts down and wastes battery life terribly. I could watch the battery drop rapidly from 50 to 42 to 30%, etc. while returning only invalid results. Adding the items manually is not great. Though I would like the suggestions, I’m not sure I’ll use this long enough to receive results.

Simply Does Not Work !!

This app has never worked on my iPhone, reported to the company support and the promised the new release by April 8, 25 supposed to fix it but it didn’t,
Can’t believe how this garbage is even allowed to be released on Apple Store!!!

Some things don’t work

The “how to improve” tab says there’s no science backed recommendations at this time for every single category. The website shows them. But then on the website the learn tab sometimes says oops there’s an error, but the app shows it. The data is great, but for the cost of testing and the platform, you’d expect it to be error free for these basic functions.

Great Insights, but Technical Issues Need Fixing

I’ve been using InsideTracker on my iPhone for a while now, and overall, I love the app and the wealth of information it provides. The insights into my health and wellness have been incredibly valuable, and I appreciate the science-backed recommendations.

That said, there are some frustrating aspects that need improvement. First, the blood test upload feature didn’t work for me, so I had to forward my results to the helpdesk. To their credit, they uploaded them the next day, but this is a feature that should work seamlessly within the app.

Secondly, syncing my workouts has been an ongoing issue. It worked initially, but then stopped, and despite multiple attempts to contact support, I haven’t received a solution yet. Given how important activity tracking is to the overall experience, this has been disappointing.

I still think InsideTracker is a great tool, but I hope they improve these technical issues to make it even better.

Tests expire

I was saving a blood draw I bought because I had surgery and had a lot of blood draws I had to get, only to find out a purchase expires after 2 years. No refunds, just completely out of the money.

Buggy and not synced to web

The website is a lot more robust. Don’t expect to have the same capability from the app.

Good info, app is awful

For the price of the service the app needs a lot more time and investment. It feels like wrapper for web views and that simply performs horribly. A majority of the things I try to click on never load any of their content as far as recommendations or trying to get details on my results. The website works fine but don’t just press that into app form and expect it to fit the bill.

The integration with HealthKit definitely needs work. It seems the only value it can consistently pull is my step count and hit or miss on workouts. I’ve yet to see it ever pull in sleep or any other data that is always available in the Health app on iOS. I’ve tried relaunching the app, reconnecting, and more with no progress getting it to read the values that come from my Garmin I wear regularly.

At present the app is of no value to me because it simply never functions as it should any time I open it. The login screen is weird and you get stuck in a loop unable to dismiss the keyboard unless you’re inside a text field when you try. I initially enter username and pw then checked remember me only to be stuck without dismissing the keyboard so I couldn’t even hit the login button. These are just a few of the issues I’ve run into using the app for less than a week and maybe a handful of times at best.

Waste of money

The app is some poor web app that is buggy and unhelpful.

Inside tracker the company lets tests you pay a lot of money for expire to pad their pockets. These are tests that costs hundreds of dollars each that have a 2 year date to redeem, and if you don’t redeem you are out of luck.

Great information, buggy app

I’ve been an InsideTracker customer for over three years. The marketing and product teams are great. Offering monthly webinars on the science behind InsideTracker and how to use the app. My one complaint has to do with logging into the app. Recently, something changed and there are issues logging in. I’ve tried both logging in using userid/pswd and FaceId. More often than not, I encounter a situation where the login screen cycles continuously requiring me to close the app and try again. Other times, I check “keep me logged in” but it doesn’t do so. Once I’m in the app, things seem to work well. The information is great and actionable. I look forward to having the login issue fixed.

Glitchy

This app is great when it works. It is very glitchy and might open to you info if you are lucky.
