Good in many ways, but *please restore ability to preview tracks without going to a dedicated page*

Before you could preview a bit of a track while scrolling through search results, now to preview, it goes to a dedicated screen for the specific track and you have to stay on that screen while you’re listening to the preview. It is also hard to go from that page to the main page for that track. This is all inefficient, time-consuming, and quite frustrating. Please change it back and allow us to preview while browsing the list 🙏 It was way easier to find things that suited my current goals or mood and move onto the actual process of meditating. Having to swipe through each track and preview ones that don’t interest me at all or are from teachers whose voices I know do not work for me, is a real downgrade.

I had planned to sign up to an annual subscription, but when this change was made I decided to try the monthly one instead, unfortunately in the time I’ve had it, the preview functionality change has frustrated me so much, I’m going to cancel for the time being. I appreciate you’re always trying to update the app, but do wish your focus was on user experience. Too many times the changes are downgrades rather than improvements.

Everyone should have this

The guides meditations and breathwork sessions in the app have really helped me with stress and given me more clarity

Best App on my Phone

By far the best app on my phone. Love the variety. Something for everyone it seems. And as someone with AuDHD, having a wide variety of options that I can add to playlists to return to allows me to balance my needs for novelty and familiarity. I was in the hospital earlier this year, listening to calming sounds and sleep stories from this app while there. It really was very comforting. I continue to use the music and nature tracks to help me sleep. And I also enjoy guided meditation and talks. I often recommend this app to my friends!

Wastes your time with forced engagement

Used to use this app daily. Then they started forcing engagement with questions and emotion check ins. These are obnoxious and time wasting. Only get this app if you want to lose time daily to a wellness corporation.

A Necessity

If there’s one app I’m ok with using very day, it’s this one. They’ve expanded tremendously with their offerings and still hold a fantastic standard.

Really pushy agenda makes the app terrible to use, wish that wasn’t the case

The app is incredibly frustrating to use due to its relentless efforts to categorize users, push them to set up schedules and goals whether they want to or not, and then shower them with unwanted screens asking them to say “I’m committed” and engage with the product every day. Once in a great while, I’ll use the app for something specific. But I almost don’t even want to try! The experience outside of the actual teaching is so bad for me. Check out other reviews to see what I mean. I would want to give the app 3 stars because I’ve benefited from it. But the fact that Insight Timer doesn’t listen to feedback and change their ways means I’m going to leave a 1 star review with the goal of having more impact on the overall rating.

My favorite spiritual app

I love Insight Timer for meditation and calming my nervous system but also love it for all of the spiritual wisdom’s it has, too. I have committed to being here more than on negative social media. In a world that can feel so negative, Insight Timer is a bright & positive light.

My Go-To Reset

I have been using Insight Timer as my go-to for daily meditations and relaxations for years and have watched it blossom into a wonderful library for teaching, learning and guidance for health and mental wellbeing. Highly recommend this resource as an important part of a regular wellbeing routine.

Getting annoying

Please get rid of the prompt “show me this tomorrow”. There is no way to not answer without just closing the app. Using forced prompts goes against the whole purpose of meditating. What used to be a great app with easy navigation and a great timer and one that didn’t have a ton of automatic prompts that you cannot turn off has turned into something annoying. You cannot skip the daily quote, you cannot skip the “i am committed” prompt at the end of your meditation. Most content is now under premium. I have stopped interacting with most of the content, I had hoped to continue to use the timer regularly but having to wade through the annoying prompts before and after a session makes it counter productive to meditation so I usually just use the timer on my phone now.

Use it daily - one request for the developers!

This app was recommended to me by my therapist, and I use it every day for a brief meditation and sleep. There is tons of free content, as well as ways to support the creators. I have taken part in some of the challenges and found them very useful, lots of great learning.

I’m wondering if the developers can work with Apple on how the apps usage is counted towards Screen Time. I use the app overnight and all of those hours are counted towards my screen time report. I know I’m not actively using my phone that many hours, but it would be great if there was a way to remove this information from the report.

The best mindfulness meditation app

I’ve learned about this app from a mindfulness prof 4 years ago. It has helped me to learn and practice mindfulness and meditation daily.
The courses are easy to follow. I highly recommend to everyone who wants to improve their wellbeing

Let us skip intro questions

PLEASE stop forcing users to run through goal setting questions every time we open the app. Let us skip or actually remember our answers. I just want to open the app and pull up a meditation occasionally. I don’t need or want to answer 15 pages of questions first

Maravilhoso

Prompts bother me

I love this app but I go through phases where I use it or don’t and every time I come back to it it makes me click through a billion prompts to get me to recommit to a meditation goal. I get the intention behind it but it feels judgmental and irritates me when I’m just trying to get a meditation in. I wish I could reopen the app without feeling like if I don’t do it every day is isn’t worth anything, which seems to be what it’s suggesting.

A Gift

I start my mornings with Insight Timer. 10 minutes of meditation, listening, growing …Thank you.

Fully meditated

This app helps me to sleep deeply. I love all the different styles of meditation. There is something for everyone

Too gamified for me

I have a few meditation apps and this one is by far the most gamified, mainstream, over produced one. I dont care about streaks, i just want the ability to open an app, pick a session, and listen to it. Its also very controlling. You can’t rewind in a session unless youre a paid subscriber. I suppose it could be a good gateway app but if youre serious about mindfulness you will likely move on (and be happy about it) when you get sick of this one’s annoying features. Its a meditation app for pop culture.
