Waste of time
After an inordinate amount of time, and multiple “oops” messages from credit karma logon attempts , I rate this site as 0 (no zero star available). Working in IT, I would have expected better performance, but you get what you pay for.

I have been connected to Credit Karma for quite sometime now and it has been very helpful in my building my credit score, knowing options and the many informational tools offered! It’s convenient, accurate and consistent!

Fake credit alerts
They keep sending me intensionally incorrect account alerts saying: “Congrats on your clean Mazda CX-30 driving record! Looks like you could have a high driving score coming your way.”
AI Slop ad-central
This app has become AI slop ad-central. First the merge between Mint and CK led to the overwhelming consumerism ads and overpowered my ability to track my spending categories and net cash flow. Now, worst of all, it can no longer do basic addition: income-spending. I can’t even get accurate views of my accounts. I wish Mint never went away and I wasn’t subjected to the onslaught of useless ads. I’m deleting my account and making my own dashboard with ChatGPT.

I love it when these companies provide me free tokens for software development. Their new AI to ask about finances also works to write entire applications! Thanks! Tired of having ChatGPT limit your queries? Just ask CK intelligence literally anything you want!

I love having everything all in one spot.
Too much missing functionality on budgeting side
Simple things like splitting transactions, manual transactions, unable to see category spending for months more than 6 months ago even if in the same year, renaming categories, auto categorize from specific vendor as x category and more are basic easy things that are missing. The credit tracking is nice but from a budgeting perspective it just misses so many things.

An annoyance more then help
The app gives tons of false info that has mislead to wasting time more than anything else. Also updating info and dealing with any affiliate companies is atrocious.

Inaccurate Information
I have trusted this app for a long time. However, I have never applied for a card through the app until today. Credit Karma said my approval odds were “excellent”. I have never had a delinquent payment of any sort in my credit ever, currently have good credit, fair cc usage… really no reason I should not have been approved. I have read about other users and bloggers talk about rejection in the CK app for cc they should have been approved for. I will never use CK to apply for a card ever again. Nor keep using it, it seems inaccurate in telling its user their eligibility.

Users should be aware that these recommendations are marketing-driven and may negatively impact your credit profile. The app is helpful for tracking, but not for decision-making.
