You recently changed your app. The old app had a moving spinning fan symbol which was great to see if your unit was on when you control it remotely from your phone . Please bring it back. It was great!

Update 2: back to 2 stars because the issue resolved itself after a week. Functional now but still buggy as hell.
Update: app is completely bricked now after doing another cycle of deleting & reloading. Can’t log in to my current account OR make a new one. Doesn’t appear to be any remaining app support either.
Used to be great, but took a nose dive this year. Every few weeks the app forgets my A/C exists, then forgets that my account exists. Then I have to delete, reload, re-add my account, and then re-add my A/C unit.

App No Longer Works on iPhone
App stopped working this week. Cannot access anything re my refrigerator controls.
Spinning circle
I use this app to control our window A/C units, and unfortunately it’s been consistently unreliable. For the past few years, the same pattern repeats: at the start of the season, the app only shows a spinning loading circle. It eventually starts working around June, then stops again in July—and that’s exactly what’s happening now.
The whole point of a smart A/C is being able to check and control it when I’m away from home, but I can’t rely on the app to do that. I would love to see Kenmore make this app dependable. Right now, there’s nothing “smart” about it.

No longer functioning
The app doesn’t recognize my log in, just replays a never ending ring. It hasn’t been updated in 5months, I’m sure that’s the issue!
No longer working
I’ve used this app with a window air conditioner for 5 or 6 years. It worked okay. A few glitches each spring when I started using it for the season but no big deal. This year it was working fine and then a few days ago the app wouldn’t open. I understand. It happens with many apps from time to time. Delete the app, reinstall, log back in and all is good. But not in this case. I reinstalled the app but can’t log in. So I figured I’d create a new login. No go. It won’t allow that either. I just get a “there was a problem…, blah,blah,blah. Since I cant get the app to open, I can’t get to tech support. Can’t even get to a page where there might be a phone number. I am completely stuck.

App crashing constantly
Latest version of App crashing constantly when trying to login.
Horrible
Using the app with 2 air purifiers is a nightmare. They keep disconnecting and the procedure to re-link them is obnoxious. After deleting and reinstalling the app I can’t log in and can’t create a new account as error messages display. Kenmore should do better than this.
Broke. Unstable
Just things broke every other week can’t seem to find anyone to give support for it anymore.
Lose connection
We lose connection to the device and then we can’t reconnect. Also it seems you can’t have multiple devices to connect with the device.
Totally useless
Can’t create an account or login to an account or recover a password. Bought a very expensive air purifier that I can’t use half of because this app is trash. Looking at sending it back to Amazon.
Horribly useless
How this app muster a 4.5 star collective review can only be by purchasing those reviews. It is fraught with issues, creating the account and logging in. via any possible method. Was finally recommended that I create account “online“ via a desktop browser, which is different how? I just don’t care that much about having this app to have to jump through hoops to set up an account and install it

Great app for the ac
AC cools off quickly. I can control my air conditioner with my phone! When I’m on vacation I can turn it on for my kitty so he doesn’t get too hot. If I forget to turn it off I can do it from my phone.
Awesome App!
The Kenmore app is awesome! Easy and quick to use, it gives me all the information I need instantly to turn the a/c units on or off. I see the room temperatures, set points and condition of the equipment!
