Almost Useless

I specifically purchased this heater because of the proclaimed ability to monitor the unit when traveling. After MANY attempts to connect I finally succeeded. It is not straightforward or easy. Here are no functions on the app that you can not access on the unit itself. You can not see what temp the unit is currently at, only what it is set for. You can not turn off the water if it develops a leak. Heck, you can’t even tell if it is leaking. Just a VERY basic report. Get it if you feel the need to be able to proclaim to your friends “ I have a water heater app!” Beyond that it’s … meh.

I want my money back

Pay extra for a way to remote control your hot water heater, only to have the app never work, I travel for work, hot water usually in vacation mode until i come home, but no way to turn it back on cause your app is garbage, and can not remember me or my device.

In addition to buying a wifi connected hot water heater, i spent the extra 100 dollars for the remote shut off, more BS, if you cant connect with your device.

Just fold up shop AO smith, not that difficult to write software. Especially when your selling add-ons no one can use. Garbage garbage garbage!!!

Has potential.

That isn’t being met. Doesn’t even have the option of giving you notifications if there’s an error message and alarm on your water heater. It would also be nice if 2 people could be logged in at the same time. Very crude app.

This App sucks

Worked for 3 months and since it changed to iComm does not connect anymore, a shame for a big company like this

Terrible App

The app consistently requires you to readd your hot water heater. This makes even having the app useless. Deleted it.
