An absolute must have for collectors!
Response from developer
Thank you so much! This is the review I'll be re-reading on the hard days. "Created by someone who understands physical media collectors" is the whole brief. I'm a collector first; every screen in here started as something that annoyed me about my own shelves. And you're using it the way I hoped someone would. Books and movies side by side with a few games, and more. One app instead of three or more. The themes were the last thing I expected people to latch onto, and they've turned out to be the thing collectors mention most. A shelf should look like yours, not like mine. There's more coming on that front. If you ever hit something that bugs you, hello@keptcase.app comes straight to me. Thanks for taking the time to write all that out. It really means a lot. Thank you for all the support and for choosing Keptcase. GC, Keptcase
What I’ve Been Waiting For
Response from developer
Thank you so much! "Everything, in one app, done well" is exactly the bar I set, so reading it back from a collector is the best I could ask for. The one-app part was the hard call it. Would have been far easier to ship a movie app and stop but I wanted to build something that had it all. I'm so glad it landed. There more on the way! If anything ever falls short, hello@keptcase.app reaches me directly. Thank you again for all your support. GC, Keptcase
Great App, Great Customer Service
Response from developer
Thanks Ryan! Glad the movie shelf is all in and the music and books are on their way. Household was built for exactly what you and your wife are doing, so it's great to hear it works for two. And thanks for emailing, that really is the fastest way to reach me. Enjoy the shelves and thank you again for all your support and patience. GC, Keptcase
Not A Good Start
Response from developer
Thank you for trying Keptcase! and I am sorry the first scan let you down. You found a real gap. In 1.0.3 a music barcode was checked against one database, MusicBrainz, and for Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) it lists only the 2011 pressing’s barcode. Every other pressing of that record, including the one in stores now, came back as nothing. Since 1.0.5, released September 4, a scanned record is also looked up on Discogs, which lists every pressing, and the app names the exact one in your hand. I checked your album today: the 1981, 2011 and 2026 pressings all come back. If you are still in your trial, update and scan it once more. If the trial has run out, email hello@keptcase.app and I will make it right. Also for the future you can reach out for help on the app and I will be able to assist right away. With a new app like this there can be bugs at times but it's something I work on every week to make sure they're fixed. - GC Keptcase
