Does not do what it claims

LiftTrack does not do the main thing it exists to do, allow creation of custom exercises that display during a workout on a Garmin watch, at least not functionally on a Garmin Descent Mk3i 52mm screen, which is essentially a Fenix series watch for purposes of workouts. This is not a LiftTrack but a Garmin limitation, except inasmuch as LiftTrack doesn’t do what it claims—allow for workouts using custom activities. It claims that using the notes feature of the generic “Go” exercise, essentially custom activities can be used in workouts. The problem is that during a workout the notes field is very hard—though not impossible— to access. One has to drill down into a single activity in the workout preview screen to see that field, which is far too cumbersome in a workout. I had such hope for this app but, again not the fault of the developer, it’s Garmin that isn’t responding to its customers needs here, am unsubscribing.

I presume the other useful features such as progressive loading work well but I mainly needed the custom activities.

Essential tool!

Huge improvement on the Garmin UI for strength workout planning and tracking. Huge library and customisable. Very useful MCP server connectivity for AI analysis.

Good apps with some issues

I have been using LiftTrack for a few days with the Premium feature, and I can confirm that the app significantly enhances the strength training functionalities on my Garmin Venu 3.

However, I am currently experiencing an issue with custom exercises that I create within the app, include in my workout plan, and sync to the watch.

The workout syncs correctly, but regardless of the type of exercise I create or the name I assign (whether longer or shorter), the exercise name always appears as “lr” on the watch. This makes the workout confusing, as I cannot identify which exercise to perform—every custom exercise shows the same incorrect name.

Could you please look into this issue and provide a fix?

Best Garmin workout planner - Once rep weight calculation/progression is fixed

LiftTrack’s Garmin integration is frustration free, major kudos to the Dev! This app is solid: preplanned workouts, extensive workout library, intuitive UI, and seamless syncing with Garmin connect, and devices. However there’s a usability gap undermining the core workout planning feature:
- Workout planner generates sets with 0 lb rep weights, even after adding 1 Rep Max
- Premium subscription along with some workout history is unable to fix this issue as of now, was disappointed to see the promised feature not working.
- Forcing manually updating the rep weights, and key missing component of intelligent weights progression, where most of the similar apps really ace this

I hope the Dev is already aware of this issue, requesting them to prioritize this fix, and this app could be the clear leader in the Gamin workout planning category! Excited to see what the development and features you come up with!

Almost perfect workout builder - Missing one rep max configuration

This app is an impressive alternative to the limited capacities of garmin coach for strength training. Adds support for custom workouts, and frustration free user experience. However the app doesn’t have support to add or measure rep max before creating the workouts, which can be easily fixed by the developer. Overall happy to see capable 3rd party alternatives to garmin coach.

Brilliant, exactly what Garmin should have by default.

Fills the functionality hole that the default strength training on Garmin leaves perfectly. Really easy to create new workouts with a great range of preset exercises and it auto uploads to your watch. The progression feature was exactly what I was looking for allowing you to track your reps during a workout and know exactly what you did last time without any manual effort. Great app.

The Missing Link

LiftTrack is what Garmin Connect is missing to build your own custom workout routines. The developer has made steady improvements to the app since it was released so it’s getting better all the time. I highly recommend LiftTrack if you want to track your strength workouts on your Garmin watch.

5 stars isn’t enough

Best Garmin strength-tracking app out there, period. Super clean, stupidly reliable. It logs my sets faster than I can rerack the bar. Also, true story: worked out with the dev once. Zero chance this guy skips leg day… If he put half as much work into the app as he does into his deadlifts, it’d be worth $500. Luckily for us peasants, it’s basically free. Download it before he realizes.

So much better than Garmin Connect

For anyone who likes to track their lifts and has a Garmin, you know the Garmin app just doesn’t cut it. With this app it’s a lot easier to create my workouts including warmups, supersets, and organizing them into folders (which is nice because I change up my lifts a lot based on what program I’m doing). It also makes it really easy to track my progression over time which is fun to look at!

SetSync is a game changer

App just works with the watch which is all I was looking for. There’s a bunch of other features like the set sync which really make the subscription worth it imo.

Easy, and effective

I have been using the apps for a few days and has filled exactly what I needed. Easy to use, works seamlessly and has improved my quality of life with my garmin, highly recommend to try it out.

Exactly what I’ve been needing!

No other apps have had the set of features that ive wanted. Also very minimal and easy to use interface unlike others.

Solid app

Great lifting companion

Love the functionality
