Too many bugs but useful

I liked it at first, but there are way too many bugs that need to be fixed. The AI is very helpful, but after a while it gets redundant and keeps recommending the same thing over and over again. In order to stop this, it needs to be prompted with exact requests. The AI recommendations do not match the macro recommendations in the plan, so I use a different tracker altogether. The diary feature does not work when clicked on. When you adjust your preferences in the meal plan, there is a bug that only recommends breakfast smoothies and bowls when you don’t include certain ingredients. It doesn’t reload properly. I reached out to the app developers about the bug and they never responded. I lost and then gained weight the first month of using it because I was still very hungry after all of the recommendations. However, the app is growing on me although I will not use the tracker and meal planning features due to major inaccuracies. The AI photo meal log is extremely inaccurate, and when you try to edit the entry, it does not sync cv properly. The AI is great, but the app features need a ton of work and fixes. It does help you realize a healthier way of eating and the AI is extremely helpful in meal planning. The AI needs to be able to report bugs reported to the developers but is unable to. I will resubscribe if the bugs are fixed and the app improves. Hopefully it will, it has potential!

Too many bugs

I liked it at first, but there are way too many bugs for it to be worth it. The AI is nice, but after a while it gets redundant and keeps recommending the same thing over and over again. If you’re dealing with true hormonal hunger overload, the app recommends you eat an extremely sickening amount of protein, which unfortunately does not cure my hunger issue. It also makes it incredibly hard to stick to your calorie target. The AI recommendations do not match the macro recommendations in the plan. She always suggests way too much fat while meal planning compared to the macros given. The diary feature does not work when clicked on. When you adjust your preferences in the meal plan, there is a bug that only recommends breakfast smoothies and bowls when you don’t include certain ingredients. It doesn’t reload properly. I reached out to customer service about the bug and they never responded. I have actually gained weight since using this app and feel more confused than ever. It doe not fix the hunger issues and the AI confuses you even more. The AI photo meal log is extremely inaccurate, and when you try to edit the entry, well, good luck with that bug. It’s very poorly put together and needs a ton of work and fixes. It’s not the greatest tracking app. It does help you realize a healthier way of eating, however. The AI needs to be able to report bugs reported to the developers but is unable to. I will not be resubscribing as I have had to switch to a more accurate tracker.

Super Helpful

I came across this app on Instagram and love it. The AI function gives great tips and being able to see how my meal choices score is helping me to eat better. I’m in menopause and the scale has not budged in a year until now. It doesn’t solve every problem (nothing will) but I do feel a lot better.

Changed my life!

Just happened to come across this app by accident. I’m so glad to have found it. Usual Food and fitness was no longer working for me. I was confused and spiraling. Coach Lila has been incredibly supportive and helpful throughout this time of my life. I highly recommend to any woman dealing with hormonal challenges to give it a try! It’s worth the cost!!

Shady charges

The app’s function itself was fine, but when I went to cancel my monthly membership I was offered a year for $19.99. I agreed to it and then noticed I was charged the full $60. I disputed it with my bank and then they pushed back on my dispute. Now when I open the app it asks if I want to start a free 3 day trial. So I was charged an amount I didn’t agree to and now don’t have access to the app I overpayed for.

Girl…save your money

You are literally just paying for an AI coach (and it’s the only thing decent about this app). The food logging is a waste of time and energy. The macros are so off and it’s a pain to log food. I have literally eaten the same meal on repeat for months and the app logs different calories for the exact same meal every single time. I weigh and measure my food and it’s just pointless. You may as well eyeball it because it’s not off by a couple calories, but like hundreds. I have tried to report this issue several times and I keep getting that “they are working on it”. I am now out $40 for an app that I have quit using and have gone back to the free app that I used to use that’s 1000x more accurate. I really don’t have any idea how anyone has lost weight using this app. Seriously, don’t waste your money. Don’t do it.

Give me toner

I just started the app. Please give me time to browse it before you all of i liked it

Nice!!!

So far so good. Tracking feature is nice and has color coded calorie meter. Coach seems like an intelligent AI. Helps me with questions regarding perimenopause. I think or hope it will help me stick to healthy habits. I think I'll keep my subscription.

Really helps with meal planning and meal decision-making

This app has been incredibly helpful for me. The AI chat feature is surprisingly good. It helps me decide (based on my symptoms) What I should be eating that day and also how to add more protein to my meals. I really love it.

Don’t download

Scam- gets stuck in a loop after you subscribe. Can’t even use a free version.

Best 3am Impulse Decision Ever

Downloaded this after a 3am Google spiral about why I can’t sleep anymore and gained 10lbs out of nowhere. Best impulse decision I’ve made in years. The nutrition advice is specific and actually doable. No crazy diets, Amen. I feel more like myself than I have in months. If you’re struggling and your doctor just tells you “it’s hormones,” get this app.

Lila supports my nutritional needs

Finally I found an app that helps me nourish my body at the stage I am in. Lila provides the nutritional support I needed and could not find in others apps.

Finally someone gets it!

I’m 46 and spent the last year thinking I was losing my mind.. and body.. Turns out it’s Perimenopause and nobody told me. My doc was useless. Downloaded Lila on a whim and honestly, it’s done more for me in a month than anything else. Lila gave me mostly fitting supplement and meal suggestions based on what I’m dealing with. Not perfect but muuuch better than anything else I’v tried so far. I feel she just gets me..

Clunky and no customer service

I didn’t have an option for a free trial so I just purchased the year hoping it can offer more than the many other apps I’ve used to track food. The UX is so clunky and it takes forever to log food. I tried to reach out to customer service per AI help and they are never online. They say they’ll send me an email and never do. I have negative feedback when they asked and I’ve heard nothing. Just give me money back and we’ll part ways.

Response from developer

Hi Sltowers, we're sorry you haven't heard back from us, that shouldn't have happened. Please email us directly at support@tidalflow.ai with the subject line "Sltowers - Lila Followup" and we'll sort this out. Every user gets a 7-day free trial, so if that wasn't offered something went wrong on our end. In that email, tell us specifically what felt clunky. We have women sending their peri coach 35+ texts a day and get support with all their meals, supplements, and symptoms, and they love it, so we want to understand what tripped you up. We're a young startup and we work tirelessly to iterate on feedback from women like you, because perimenopause is already hard enough without your tools making it harder. We really want to make it right. ❤️

Not free

Please don’t lie and say free. Nothing about this app is free. Downloaded answered the questions to see where I’m at and all that. Then it said after trial period you will be charged this amount. Seriously.

Not free

I saw an ad for Lila on Facebook that said it was free. Not a free trial, not free for a week, or a month, just FREE. So I downloaded it and went through the initial questions and got to the subscription page. Some other apps let you X-out and get to the app and just use the free features, but not this one. Disappointed that the ad was not true. I won’t be using this because I’m not in the position to pay for it, nor do I want to. Oh well, back to the drawing board…

Very Buggy

It seems like a good app, but it has a lot of bugs. Sent me through the log in process twice and double signed me up. Thankfully one I was able to unsubscribe so as not to pay twice. Also, every time I look at insights it says “something went wrong come back later. Maybe it’s new and they aren’t quite ready for launch 🤷‍♀️
