Too many updates
Way too many updates compared to its competitors
Generally use tap on Phone to take payment and then the one time you need your card machine it needs to do a 15 minute update
Also seems very slow compared to its competitors. There have been times when I’ve been trying to tap to take payment using my phone and it takes forever to load so have used my other provider. Just seems a very unstable platform especially compared to provider that begins with IZ!

Thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry the app has felt slow and disruptive at busy moments. We know speed and reliability matter most when you’re taking payments, and we’ll keep working to improve that experience.
Not Recommended – Unreliable and Unexplained Restrictions
The service from Lopay was good while it lasted, but unfortunately our experience has ended on a very disappointing note.
Yesterday, we discovered that Payment Links and QR Payments had been suspended on our account. This was particularly frustrating because we had used these payment methods previously without any issues.
We contacted Lopay customer service via their messaging service to find out what had happened and why these facilities had suddenly been removed. After some communication, we received a response from someone named Ronaldo stating:
“Our Review team has decided that we’re unable to enable Payment Links on your account at this time.”
We were also told that, due to Lopay not being a high-risk card processor, they operate under strict restrictions and could not provide any further details.
Unfortunately, this is not acceptable from a business perspective. As a reputable company, we cannot put our own credibility at risk by advertising to customers that we accept card payments through Payment Links and QR Payments, only to discover without warning that these services have been suspended.
The biggest issue for us is not simply that the services were restricted — businesses can understand that providers have policies and compliance requirements. The problem is the lack of transparency and, more importantly, the lack of notification that these payment methods had been suspended.
Long story short, we have immediately switched to another reliable payment provider that offers these payment methods as standard, without placing our business in a position where we could potentially disappoint or inconvenience our customers.
Our verdict?
Unfortunately, we do not recommend Lopay for businesses that require reliable and predictable card payment services.
The service may have been good while it lasted, but reliability and transparency are essential when you're dealing with your customers and your company's reputation.
