Tried to set up the app on iPad today but there is no space on the form to add in my reference number! It’s a non-starter!

Absolutely terrible! You have scan codes that you can’t scan on your phone. You are so old fashioned!!! Drives me mad trying to pay online

Badly laid out
On the app, expenditures are shown as negative figures, whilst credits are shown as positive - the exact opposite to the way the rest of the world operates. The paper statements display correctly, so why can’t the app? Completely and utterly ridiculous

Sometimes impossible to use
Purchases at home, in an area with a poor mobile signal, are often impossible as a texted code is the only option to proceed. There should be other options available, as with other cards. After complaining, I was given a card reader and this worked for a bit but this is no longer an available option.

I have been using M&S bank for a few years and love the simplicity of managing my account. I can make payments at anytime via the pay by bank feature and receive great rewards for using my card.

The app is very easy to use and very convenient.
Direct debit
I was told by the bank that I was nearing my credit limit and therefore made a payment, but they still collected the full amount of the direct debit to clear the statement even though I had already made a payment. I will be monitoring this very carefully!
Absolute rubbish
I have tried multiple times to access the online app but at the confirmation of password stage, the app crashes. It freezes my phone and I need to switch off and reboot. Trying to connect anyone on the number given is impossible. The operator does not understand simple instructions and can’t offer any assistance or solution. My card has been frozen because of fraudulent activity, now I’m unable to use it. I will be closing my account and going with my bank instead. I have never known such a bad service from a supposedly reputable company. Absolute disgrace.

Miserable ID verification
When taking a photo for IDV on iPad it turns your photo upside down. I had to turn on rotation lock and then take an upside-down photo for it to confirm my ID. Utterly stupid.
