Zero stars!!!
Why do I have to enter my details every time I want to open your stupid app???!!! We had a deal - facial recognition!!!!
Total rubbish
When you’re in the app, it’s fairly easy to use, navigator around, and gives you all the information you’d expect. The problem is getting into the app. The slightest blip in Wi-Fi, or 5G, and it kicked you out asking you to re-enter passwords,, two factual identification et cetera. And even when there’s not a blip, it still does it! This is a very badly designed feature of this application. I’m all security, but this thing is paranoid!

They should let you see your total points, not just the current months.
JL credit card
Really useful card. Accepted everywhere it seems. Works abroad - if you insert it! And the app is SO useful in keeping track of what you’ve spent - love it!
Why no Touch ID?
Every time I want to use the John Lewis CC I have to first go to my eWallet, find the six digit code, remember it and then enter random digits from it before the app will open.
Every other finance app I use has an option for Touch ID instead of a PIN code/set of digits. Why not this one?
I use the JL CC much less because of this, ie JL is losing money.
UPDATE:
Had response from Steve, developer which came from Apple. The 'Contact the developer' link in Apple's email just went to the corporate website so of no use at all, so I am having to communicate directly this way.
I only use the app on my iPad. I cannot find any option in any of the settings for biometric options. To see if it was different I installed it on my iPhone and it offered to use FaceID which I agreed to. I then logged out, and when I logged in it again asked if I wanted to use FaceID and again asked for the PIN, ie the first time it asked hadn't been set. After that the FaceID (on the phone) worked. However, there is no reference to FaceID or biometrics in the phone app; the only time it comes up is when you install it.
With this information, I deleted the app on the iPad and reinstalled it. It then offered me the option to use TouchID, but again after setting it up and logging out it hadn't remembered and I had to say 'Yes' to TouchID again and enter the PIN. After that the iPad app now works with TouchID.
However, as with the iPhone app (I know it's the same app, as it comes up as a phone app ie small on the iPad) there is nowhere that I can find in the app that mentions biometrics. The only time biometric log in is offered is when the app is first installed. Other banking apps have the option to enable or disable biometrics within the app.
