Repeated fulfillment failures and useless credits
The final straw was my last box. It was supposed to contain 8 meals. Marley Spoon contacted me beforehand saying 2 meals would be unavailable and issued account credit for them, so I expected the remaining 6 meals. The box arrived with only 4. They failed to even notify me that two additional meals were missing.
Even worse, their standard solution throughout all of these problems has been account credit toward future orders. My final box was actually purchased using credits I had accumulated because of problems with previous paid boxes—and even THAT box arrived substantially incomplete.
Credits are not meaningful compensation when customers are repeatedly having problems with the service they are being asked to order from again.
I have spent far too much time reporting issues, waiting for responses, and trying to get orders I already paid for properly fulfilled. I canceled because I completely lost confidence in Marley Spoon’s ability to reliably deliver what I ordered.
At this point, I don’t want more credits. I want the money I actually paid for my previous failed orders refunded.
Meal delivery is supposed to save time and make life easier. Marley Spoon accomplished the exact opposite.

Payment options suck
After they changed payment processing they stopped delivering the same. The box I got last week had all rotten produce.
Needless to say canceled.

The “Start Cooking” button is broken
And while I possibly have your attention, the landscape view for this app only works part of the time
Improve the app pls
When browsing and selecting weekly recipes on my phone, I need to be able to do three things on the SAME screen:
1. See my current recipe selections
2. Click into those recipes to view recipe details
3. Delete or swap recipes easily
INSTEAD the app is currently designed so that:
1. To view my selections, I must click through TWO separate screens (Market → Save screen)
2. Once I’m on the Save screen, the recipes aren’t even clickable
3. If I want to check any recipe details, I have to go back two screens and scroll through the entire recipe list to find it again
This makes the basic workflow of choosing recipes incredibly frustrating. Please, please consolidate these functions onto one screen.

Delivery a common disaster but good when you get it
I just restarted the service after almost 3 years without it, and I’m having issues once again. I’ve reached out several times over the last 3 days and no one has replied. Yikes.
OrderLate. Wasn’t Great. Left Irate.
The ingredients had labels, but nothing tied them to the actual recipes. No grouping, no color coding, no logical organization. Trying to cook a meal felt like a scavenger hunt with missing pieces, and the recipe cards I needed weren’t even included. I couldn’t make a single dish.
Customer support responded with a sugary tone, but absolutely no substance. Every time I asked a direct question, they dodged it and repeated the same talking points. Not one of my specific concerns was addressed.
I even filed a BBB complaint. The company responded twice with nearly identical copy-and-paste replies, and the case ultimately closed as unresolved due to their refusal to answer the actual issues raised.
Bottom line: I paid for meals I couldn’t cook and got customer service that sidesteps real problems. There’s potential here, but the execution and accountability need serious improvement.
