Disconnected communication and ghosted appointments
I’ve been trying to use Maven for two months with zero results. The app, email care team, and website act like three completely different companies that don't talk to each other.
I waited 17 days for an email reply that never came. When I finally scheduled an appointment in the app, it vanished into thin air—yet they still spam me with text messages. On top of that, getting my wallet and insurance approved was a constant back-and-forth loop where they’d approve it, close it, and leave me starting over with no real human to talk to.
It’s an frustrating, fragmented experience when you're just trying to access care. Save yourself the headache.

Way worse experience compared to Progyny
My company switched to Maven this year and the reimbursement process is truly a nightmare. Maven has limited pharmacy in network, so most likely you will need to do the reimbursement process yourself. My claim stays at the same “insurance processing” status for 45 days. I have tried to reach out to the Maven team but nobody provides any help. They just sent me template emails (forgot even changing the name in the template) and don’t care at all.

Amazing app and providers
I wasn’t a believer in virtual care until I tried this app courtesy of my employer’s health benefits package. As a newly postpartum mom, I’ve benefited from lactation consultants, postpartum counselors and nutrition coaches that all helped me tremendously during this 4th trimester. I did not expect such high quality providers all accessible virtually. The app
is easy to navigate as well and
packed with short useful educational articles per subject area. Totally worth it!

Excellent pregnancy support
I have access to Maven’s pregnancy support resources through my job and I think it’s a benefit EVERY company should offer its employees. This was my second pregnancy and I am incredibly grateful for every webinar I’ve attended, article I’ve read, and expert I’ve messaged and/or met with over video. Everyone has been very helpful in providing second and third opinions as well as timely responses that would normally take days or weeks to get answers to from in-person care providers. Can’t recommend Maven enough!

Data gathering on women
Obgyn I met with came across as tone deaf and low medical proficiency. They’re all following a script to gather data and not actually help or provide useful info.
How are you going to ask someone who has taken birth control pills for over 15 years if they feel any increased desire when they don’t take the placebo?! It takes weeks to months to stop feeling effects of being on the pill for 15 years. The low level of medical proficiency is comical.

Horrible In App Experience
Honestly this is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. I sent a screen recording to the team because customer support kept telling me to do things that were unavailable in the app.
Faulty app and fault website
The app wont let me sign in. Very frustration as I’ve taken screenshots proving my username and password entered are accurate.
Logs out
This app consistently logs you out, making it frustrating to use even semi regularly
Terrible user experience
This app does not work. I cannot even login to change an appointment. It’s a terrible user experience.
Worst customer service
They can’t activated my account for several months and still can’t do it, they just keep apologizing without any action.
Just Okay
As a first time mom, I love the idea of this app and my care specialist has been incredible.
However, some of their resources are pretty underwhelming and feel like busy work or something ChatGPT could have told me. I read an article on how to manage sleepiness during pregnancy and the advice was literally 1) get a good nights sleep 2) take a power nap 3) drink coffee. Wow, would not have figured out sleepiness could be helped with sleep!
In addition the general inbox was not really answering my questions which amounted to stress and frustration instead of relief.
I think this service has a ton of potential but still had a long way to go.
