Advertises products by notification
Unfortunately the developers engage in very unsavoury behaviour and attempt to advertise other products by notifications on your phone. It is very disturbing and stops me from recommending this app.

Great GDO
I had a myQ at my old house. My new house had no remote GDO options (I thought). After doing some research, I found Meross that was compatible with my Linear GDO. After doing the quick jumper wire test, I determined it was compatible and bought it at a reasonable price. Hardware installation went great. App set-up took me 2 tries. It helps to be a little tech savvy since the instructions may have been written by non-English speaking people. Watch the YouTube videos and you’ll be fine. I installed it a couple weeks ago and so far so good. For the price of a myQ you get all the same options and features. Perfect choice if you’re like me and have a non-chamberlain, garage door opener. Worth mentioning is the status monitor. myQ uses wireless but on the Meross you have to run a wire 15 or 20 feet to your door to monitor the status. Not a huge inconvenience, but wireless is definitely easier. The second thing is if you share this app with your wife, she has to log in to the app on her phone using your username and password. Very strange, but it works.
