Needs work
The app overall is easy to navigate but it needs to be easier to manage your parking away from the lot. App users should be able to pay for parking or extend their time thru the app without being at the parking location. It is upsetting to have to wait until the app loads and payment goes thru before leaving the location, waste of time. It would be better if you were be able search the lot and pay on the app without having to be there. That way I know my vehicle is secure and not at risk of being ticked while I’m away.

Terrible Parking Company
Was asked to park here by DePaul University to receive free parking. Standing in-front of the orientation helper I used the QR code and created my Metropolis account and completed the parking as instructed. My card was charged $9.99 and the charge was then refunded. At leaving time the gate refused to open and now they wanted me to pay for parking. I have been getting text messages and late fees. No one answers my response to the text messages. And using the app to get any kind of help is nonexistent. The website for help is nonexistent help.

Hard to Communicate
It wont give you option to change license plate, it would charge you automatically
No service? get charged an extra $50
Absolutely trash, “drive in drive out” is a total lie. Cause if you drive into a lot with no internet service you can’t start a parking session. And rather than notify you about that unlogged session asap, which they CAN do considering they have a WHOLE APP that has your license and contact information, they wait 3 months to tell you and charge an extra $50 on top. Avoid at all costs, this should be straight illegal.

Deleted the stupid app
The app no longer takes me to a payment page. It takes me to a map to tell me that I’m where I already know where I am. But no option to pay. Support is a joke. To pay now, I just scan the QR code in my browser and it works fine.
Shady Tax Practices
Metropolis is a shady business that uses taxes to extort more money out of customers. The tax rate on Pittsburgh is .07, but from my last 3 subtotals of 7.27, 7.27, and 5.82 they’ve charged 1.23, .82 and 2.18 respectively. How do you have a variable tax rate we’re not only is the same subtotal given different amounts, but a lower amount is taxed almost 50%?

Wrong charges
I like the idea of the app but either their license plate scanners are bad or they are scammers. I keep getting notifications that I started parking in random locations when I am nowhere near. I was always able to dispute successfully, but it is always trouble.

Got charged again on my rental car even I removed it
I got charge again on my rental car even I returned my car. I’ve received the message from metropolis to confirm this car has been removed from my account. But when I flew back to my city, I received another charge. Terrible experience!

Customer service is just AI slop and kicks the issue down the road assuring me “a team member will be in touch” . total lie! This is a horrible horrible app and inept company. How did this app get launched with all these egregious issues?

I tried to pay for the app did not let me pay and I had money it kept saying error app needs to be fixed
No Apple pay support
Requires me to share my actual CC instead of supporting Apple or google pay.
Theft with the charges
They charge you by segment you stay an hour a minute and they charge you as if you stayed two hours

Didn’t think I could possibly hate something more. Using an app to park in a garage is the most unnecessary ridiculous thing ever 👎👎👎
Charge you without warning
I wanted to get this app before my trip. It seemed promising. When I signed up it asked for a card, but made no mention of a pre authorization charge. Found out they charged my card $9 when I never even arrived. I just wanted to sign up to make it easier for travel purposes. It would’ve been nice to know they charge an authorization to the card on file. Why charge when you haven’t even stepped foot in the lot? I think this is deceiving. I deleted the app and will not do business with this company. Beware of a hidden authorization and or charge to your card if you haven’t gotten to the parking lot!!! Never again.

Lousy app
Having used parking apps all over the world, this is the worst. It is function light, has confusing in-app navigation/design, and is the most expensive.
Functionality
Whenever I scan assigned to try to pay, the only option I ever get is for directions to a place. I’m already at and no way to pay for parking.
App is clunky to use and will automatically charge you
I attached my number to parking and of course it begs in to charge me, can’t add company subscriptions because who knows. Metro support is 0 help. Just another company that’s going to scam your money out of you.
