Doesn’t work for two cars on one account

I have two cars in one Garage and when I want to request one to be pulled out, it will only select the last car that entered the garage. No ability for me to choose which car I need.

Horrible

This App is horrible you enter the app and with one click they charge you and then you cannot even cancel the charge right at the moment or change the license plate.

More garbage apps

Great job integrating into the city, you now charge whatever you want for however long you want with no reason for your pricing.

Excellent job creating another waste of human life and resources in building this trash.

Scam

They tried to double charge us when we already had a Spothero reservation for the parking garage.

John Thomas

The app glitched and doubled charged me. I reached out to their customer service and no respond. I parked for 1 hour and it charged me $150 dollars.

Horrible support / predatory charges / drain on society

Took 20 emails, 30 minutes on chat, to resolve a $100 penalty charge for their own failure to auto charge. No thought to send a note in the app that payment was due, instead just immediately sending a $100 fine on top of parking fee for their app failing to charge my card that is on autopay.

Horrible customer service, horrible experience, do not recommend this company.

Confusing to start parking session

I commute and use this app to pay for parking. Half the time it takes me to an info screen about the lot I am standing in but does not have an easy means to start a parking session. Then, it is sometimes unclear whether you have begun a session. If you check the activity screen, it shows no current sessions but when you know you’ve started one, it the activity screen still shows nothing. Take a cue from ParkMobile and improve your app.

Please fix this app

I want to like it because of the convenience. However, when I scan the QR code to start a parking session, it will often take me to directions to the parking lot even if I’m already there. If I open the app without scanning the code, it sometimes briefly shows the “park now” button and then it changes to “Directions “. I don’t need directions if I’m already there. I just want to start a parking session.

Not happy

The app messed up twice already causing multiple emails to customer service which is NOT real time! It took SIX back and forth emails to get it resolved the first time only to have the SAME issues again!

Wrong Rate and Time

Used this service for the first time today. I scanned the free parking code in the business attached to the garage then drove out as instructed. First, the app didn’t recognize I had left the garage so I had to manually tap that I had left when I got home. Then it later charged me for an hour of parking when I had scanned and received confirmation that I had two hours of free parking. Horrible tech. Now I have to email them for a refund despite it being their app and cameras that malfunctioned.

This app is terrible

Tried numerous times to link my car to the app and kept getting errors.

App and website both kept sending me to my Maps program and wanting to give me directions.

Tried saving my email address and name to my profile and it will save it.

Was standing in the parking lot and numerous other people were having the exact same problems trying to log into this app.

Hard to navigate get information or to Pay.

My office building started using this system in order to make Parking payment easy ( for them.) Parking charges went up, there’s a $.99 service fee for paying with your credit card. Accessing payment or usage orHistory is a little bit glitchy on the iPhone directly to Metropolis via their text messaging. (The app may make it better.) I paid with a credit card and got notification that it was not accepted. The same with the second credit card. Then I got a receipt showing that the second credit card paid just fine. Using a foreign Call Center did not help me feel any better about Metropolis. A good point is there is an instantaneous text as you enter and leave the parking garage. I will be using only validated parking rather than leave my credit card information on file due to lack of trust with digital platforms meant to “help.”

Service fee????

Why is there a service fee? And ZERO grace time to exit?? Was charged $6 for less than FIVE minutes in the garage! Give users an alternate method to pay if you are going to charge a SERVICE FEE!!

Deceiving practice

Pure robbery, can’t be legal.

Needs work

The app overall is easy to navigate but it needs to be easier to manage your parking away from the lot. App users should be able to pay for parking or extend their time thru the app without being at the parking location. It is upsetting to have to wait until the app loads and payment goes thru before leaving the location, waste of time. It would be better if you were be able search the lot and pay on the app without having to be there. That way I know my vehicle is secure and not at risk of being ticked while I’m away.

Terrible Parking Company

Was asked to park here by DePaul University to receive free parking. Standing in-front of the orientation helper I used the QR code and created my Metropolis account and completed the parking as instructed. My card was charged $9.99 and the charge was then refunded. At leaving time the gate refused to open and now they wanted me to pay for parking. I have been getting text messages and late fees. No one answers my response to the text messages. And using the app to get any kind of help is nonexistent. The website for help is nonexistent help.

Hard to Communicate

It wont give you option to change license plate, it would charge you automatically

No service? get charged an extra $50

Absolutely trash, “drive in drive out” is a total lie. Cause if you drive into a lot with no internet service you can’t start a parking session. And rather than notify you about that unlogged session asap, which they CAN do considering they have a WHOLE APP that has your license and contact information, they wait 3 months to tell you and charge an extra $50 on top. Avoid at all costs, this should be straight illegal.

Deleted the stupid app

The app no longer takes me to a payment page. It takes me to a map to tell me that I’m where I already know where I am. But no option to pay. Support is a joke. To pay now, I just scan the QR code in my browser and it works fine.

Shady Tax Practices

Metropolis is a shady business that uses taxes to extort more money out of customers. The tax rate on Pittsburgh is .07, but from my last 3 subtotals of 7.27, 7.27, and 5.82 they’ve charged 1.23, .82 and 2.18 respectively. How do you have a variable tax rate we’re not only is the same subtotal given different amounts, but a lower amount is taxed almost 50%?
