Favourites suggestions
We all love Mr D for yeeaaars because of its convenience it creates. Only reason why I put 4 start is because I would like to suggest to add a feature on the app where you can add you favourite restaurants to. A favourites feature. I think that’d be amazing. Other than that, all is great thanks

How is this normal? I ordered and did not receive my order. The driver was 3 houses away from my house, with reason that the they check the pinned location and deliver where the stop will be however my second order was delivered at the very same address.
I trie meeting the delivery spot half way but all they can said is processes. I’m so disappointed in the manner in which it was handled. I have never complained and I guess there’s always a first time for everything but this…Absolutely pathetic and ridiculous…. Especially for a manager. It almost felt like they wanted to prove a point

Some of these drivers are disrespectul
This app needs an option where I get to choose who my delivery driver is. Because tell me why I had to explain myself to a guy who was telling me a 10% tip was a waste of his time and petrol, having to go as far as to tell me which restaurant I should be ordering From because it’s convenient for him. Just now I wanted to place an order but I remembered I might end up with a scolding simply because my order doesn’t live up to the drivers expectations, hence I’m now writing this review. it’s the bloody disrespect honestly, and the fact that I couldn’t give a driver rating on the app directly. It’s really not a stretch to have these options on the app. Imagine having to now drive to a restaurant because you’re trying to avoid the embarrassment of being insulted by a random stranger for giving them your money 😮💨 id appreciate it if you guys can get back to me so i can log an official complaint and have this person removed from delivering to me. He can deliver to other people, just not me.

Hopeless for tourists
On a three week holiday in South Africa, wanted to use the app for a meal but without a South African number to register then you can’t use the app. I spoke to support but they couldn’t help me at all.

Bolognese That Truly Tasted Like Home
Nonnas’ Bolognese was absolutely AMAZBALLZ. I am genuinely flabbergasted by how delicious it was. This wasn’t just good food, it tasted like real home-cooked comfort, made with heart and soul.
It honestly took me back to the Bolognese my sister used to make when I was at home, and that kind of feeling is rare to experience with delivered food. The flavours were rich, perfectly balanced, and incredibly satisfying. What impressed me even more was that the food arrived piping hot, which truly shocked me and shows the care taken from preparation to delivery.
If the food, and the manner in which it was delivered , was this exceptional, I honestly can’t imagine how incredible the atmosphere must be at the actual restaurant. Nonnas is truly in a league of their own.
I will without a doubt be ordering again. Thank you for reminding me what exceptional food and service really mean 🥰🍝

Misleading Delivery Times & Poor Service from Pick n Pay on Mr D
I’m extremely disappointed with the experience of ordering Pick n Pay groceries through the Mr D app. During the shopping process, a delivery time is shown — but as soon as the order is paid, that time mysteriously changes when you check the tracking (“The store is on it”).
This feels like false advertising. It’s frustrating and misleading. Even worse, there have been multiple instances where the store fails to deliver at all. No updates, no support, just wasted time and money.
It’s shocking that a platform like Takealot continues to support such unreliable service through Mr D. Until this is fixed, I can’t recommend using the app for grocery orders — especially not with Pick n Pay.

Underperforms vs competition
Although generally good Mr D is CONSISTENTLY poor at communicating order notes too vendors. Far too often one’s changes or special requirements are ignored. Also no option for direct delivery. Too often bundled with other peoples orders and food arrives cold. If we are paying R20 extra for delivery we expect the food to arrive fairly warm.

Redo Order
My favourite delivery app by far. Friendly drivers fast delivery it’s an all round good experience for me.
I would just love the option to redo an order by going to “past orders” and selecting a order receipt that then adds the past orders’ items into my cart.
This would make things easier if you already know what you like from a specific restaurant. I’m pretty sure some of your competitors have this exact option so it might be wise to add this function as well.

Most of the times I use “WiCode” to pay but that option is often not available and I don’t know why , it has specific days where it miraculously just become available. But to other people it’s alwa available and there
