Pointless

The only thing you can do in the US for EVs is turn on climate control. Zero widgets, zero shortcut access, makes you login every single time and constantly doesn’t connect. Fix this, VW!!!!!

Not ready for prime time

The app works about 60% of the time. Same for remote key fob starting, and yes, batteries have been replaced

Location sensing leaves a lot to be desired

The location data update is really slow and doesn’t place where my car is sometimes not at all

Terrible app

If I could give zero stars I would. I just paid my $9.99 for this app to not be able to start my car or even lock my doors. I want my money back as soon as possible!

This app keeps getting worse and worse

When we first bought our ID.4 this app was nice. We were able to check out the battery level, change charging limit, start and stop charging and start and stop the climate control. We were able to see the status of the doors and such. The location services wasn’t great but at least the other features worked

Over the last year, VW has released a few updates. Maybe a better term would be a downgrade. Each update has broken a feature one by one until finally now nothing works on it. I have never seen anything as inept as this in my life

With a subscription to myVW+, you can also utilize remote features like starting your engine, controlling EV charging, locking/unlocking doors, and setting vehicle alerts.

What are the key features of the myVW app?

Key features include service scheduling, finding a Volkswagen dealer, viewing service history, and accessing owner resources. Subscription-based features through myVW+ offer remote engine start, EV battery charging control, remote door lock/unlock, remote honk and flash, climate control for EVs, and the ability to view the last parked location.

Is the myVW app free to use?

The myVW app itself is free to download and use for basic owner resources. However, many of the advanced connected vehicle services, such as remote start or EV charging control, require an active subscription to myVW+. Some subscription plans may be included with the purchase of a new vehicle, but will require payment to continue after the included period expires.

What vehicles are compatible with the myVW app?

The myVW app is designed for most model year 2020 or newer Volkswagen vehicles. Certain connected vehicle services enabled through myVW+ require specific vehicle models and equipment.
