Stopped working!
An earlier NZeTA expired. When I open the app to apply for a new NZeTA the app gets stuck with a message that it’s checking my NZeTA status. It never gets this done. I checked that I have the current app version installed.
Flawless app
The app worked perfectly. It took just a few minutes to submit my New Zealand traveler request for me and my wife. I paid once for both of us. The passport scan is easy because it just needs the two lines at the bottom of the main page.

Fixed issue quickly
Initially, I got stuck due to a bug in the app. They fixed it, and now everything works. Quick and easy!
Checkbox broken
Update: they resolved the below issue and the application is now a smooth process. Rating increased in light of the fix.

Checkbox at very bottom of Step 2/5 is not selectable.
Doesn’t work on US passports
US Passport scan doesn’t capture all required information and there is no way to manually enter it. Have to pay more and use browser.
Poor performance
The app is inconsistent when attempting to confirm passport information. It won’t allow the applicant to confirm correct passport information, so the app stalls at that point.
Version 1.7.4 is broken
Current version (1.7.4) of the app is broken. May work if you can revert to an older version or wait for the next version which hopefully will fix the problem.
Stuck
This is frustrating. I am stuck on step two out of five. The check box “the information is accurate” Cannot be checked. Restarting the phone, deleting and downloading the app does not fix the issue. multiple attempts and still cannot move onto the next page.
Confirm button not working
Currently there is a bug that will not allow passport details to be confirmed on the app once a picture has been taken. The entire application grinds to a halt….Please fix ASAP

You are ruining lives
The APP is broken. After scanning passport successfully, the “please confirm all details are correct button” is broken. I’m coming for a funeral. I ended up applying online with a longer processing time. Absolute incompetence.
