No OctaPass access >year donation even w/ re-download & 3 tickets!
My 1st donation was 9/1/25. From the start, I downloaded OctaApp fine, set up my pmt card, can see when I'm eligible to donate etc, but OctaPass will Not load, tho ph# & EMA are correct on server, & I re-downloaded newest OctApp.
Opened a 3rd ticket today - 1st 2 were ignored; no attempted contact, just deleted. Solution may be simple, but no one at my donation site nor via ph contact can answer if I need to delete the original download & start over to have access to OctaPass & whether or not I will lose information that should be stored on the server if I start over again. ??

Best plasma center
The octapharma group on 47th & Kedzie is phenomenal. From the top spot to the workers on the floor. the staff cares about each and every donor, gives 1 on 1s whenever n without problem. Not the mention the depth of valuable, quality workers they have at their disposal.
Why location always on?
Why does the app keep prompting me to switch access from “location on while using” to “location always on”? It makes zero sense why Octapharma would need to know my location 24/7 outside of the normal donation process. That is a ridiculous invasion of privacy to request. Besides that, the app works fine.

Thanks for sharing your concern, and we agree, tracking your location 24/7 would be kinda weird! “Always Allow” gives us a more accurate arrival time at the center so we can better understand wait times and staffing. We don’t use it to track you outside of your center visit, and “While Using” is also accepted to use OctaPass.
Don’t donate with them
They always have excuses when it comes to payments they always send money late if I donate I want my money right after I don’t want to have to wait a whole day or two or at least tell people yawl having problems with it before they donate some people depend on that when they come to your builds some even use those funds to get home from your facilities do better

Forced Location Data
I just updated the app last night only to find out when I went to go donate that location data is now required to do the survey on mobile. I find this to be supremely scummy, regardless of the intentions. They claim it’ll help inform centers about when we arrive, which is a lie as the screeners don’t have time to be bothered with nonsense like this. They claim other metrics as well like which center you visit and your time and date of donation, which was information that was already available. This is a terrible change all to get location data. This needs to be reversed.

We understand this is a significant change, and we appreciate your feedback. This update was made to help us better understand wait times so we can improve the overall donation experience. Location permission is only required for the health questionnaire in the app, and you can still complete the questionnaire at an in-center kiosk if you prefer not to enable location.
Have to reset app often
I like the convenience of being able to answer questions via the app but quite often the app won’t work and I have to turn off my phone and restart everything.
Also I wish the app recorded our health numbers for tracking.

I have never received an email for my express pass, my emails work btw.
This app constantly signs me out and makes me sign back in. The plasma center itself takes me forever with screening people like Jesus. I've been going to Octapharma for about 5 years now and the experience has just gotten worse over time.

Terrible app. To basic made no option to change email.
Terrible app it's very basic it's convenient compared to the super slow tablets they have but you can't change your email and I lost my gift card in the email process since they sent it to a private relay id with Apple.
Better options
If you want to get ripped off on each visit, this is perfect as it will pay $20/$45 to the highest of $65. If you are looking to make some money and for a good cause? Go to biolife for $400 each donation.
App has potential…
I just recently started donating plasma again but decided to try OctaPharma instead of CSL.
In regards to the app, it seems like it has a lot of bugs. A lot of sections in my app says “please try again later”. Everything else that I can access is pretty much useless other than the OctaPass.
Hopefully developers can fix these issues soon

Liquid Plasma, Solid Donation
Can be painful but a good source of extra income and is extremely helpful to those who need it. Props to the staff at 1828 Clovis Ave.

The app works ok rewards don’t seem to payout my express passes and management doesn’t know how to help.
Good on donating but horrible to access card
I’ve been using the app for quite some time now and I will say this is probably the worst app to access your debit card. I just donated. Let’s say a day ago and I haven’t used the card for any of its money I go to the store grab groceries to be well within the price range that I was given in the car would decline like there was nothing on it. I go to the app and see that there’s more than enough money on the card. But still would decline three more times I don’t know why it’s doing this. I can’t do anything, but it’s still saying that I have money in there. And I can’t transfer to any other card

I don’t like the fact I used to be able to use the mobile app and Now I can’t even use the app . I am using the app normally on my iPhone 17 air and this app is very useful when it works but idk if it’s the iOS or the app please fix asap!

Put in the feature on the app to enable card protection, lock/unlock. Enough of the unauthorized purchases via card skimmers, RF emulators on POS devices at stores, including at convenient stores and gas stations, shops.

Friendly; Great Way to earn money on the side
Love coming to Octapharma. Everybody super friendly, honestly never had bad experience or bruising or anything like that here. Great way to supplement your income and help people at the same time. So much friendlier than some other places like Grifols. Friend of mine goes to Grifols and says they can be really rude at times, and not even hardly say hi, acknowledge you or anything and boss you around like when they tell you what seat to go to. So glad I don’t have that problem with Octapharma. Everybody is great.
