Omio has Absent customer service - AI would not connect me to live person - SCAMMED
My father in law suddenly passed away, tried to contact you when I was in Madrid Spain, but AI would not connect me with customer service with next steps. I reached out to my credit card company only to be told that I never canceled the trip, so I lose the original charge. I purchased flex tickets which allowed me to change the date, but charged a fortune, never used any of the train tickets for this trip. All I’m asking is to be reimbursed or receive a credit for the original charge of $84. I’m out $300, since you wouldn’t even exchange emails with me, but I know better than to use your service going forward. At least allow for a real human being to guide me in what to do. You are terrible, terrible customer service and don’t seem to understand in a real emergency, people don’t need an AI bot. Not everything fits into one of two FAQs. You are a scam 3rd party company that charges a huge booking fee on top of what I could have paid with the local transportation company of the European country I was visiting. Even when trains are delayed, since I’ve used Omio many times in past trips, Omio won’t help you reschedule if the train is delayed or the train company cancels the trip! - Omio tells you to contact the actual train company you are traveling with to reschedule. And Omio doesn’t even refund you if it is the train company’s fault!!! They are only a 3rd party company that up charges you, doesn’t refund you the up charge if the train gets canceled, BEWARE OF OMIO! SCAM COMPANY! I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. I PLAN TO POST THIS ON TRIP ADVISOR, GOOGLE, EVERYWHERE!

I like the app, but ….
I’ve only used Omio a couple of times to book train tickets for my husband and I in a couple European countries, but several times when I book First Class tickets, it’s assigned seats where we’re not sitting anywhere close to each other, much less next to each other. When I contact Omio to get the seats changed, the tell me to contact the train operator. When I contact the train operator, they roll their eyes and say, since I booked thru a 3rd party, that 3rd party had to change the seats. You see the loop we end up in. And in the end we sit in our First Class but very far apart seats for 3 or 6 hours. Not much fun. That app should have a way, like airlines do, for us to specify I like window and my husband likes aisle seats, together. Or away for us to pick our own seats rather than having them assigned, especially since they can’t be changed after that.

No real customer support
We booked extra to book for seats for train. Now train has changed but there is no way to book seats in new train. Also if you reach out to customer support it’s all AI. So you can’t talk to anyone. Horrible customer support. Good luck!
**NOT ACCEPTED ON SEREMAR FERRIES IN SORRENTO**
The Omio app itself is great but unfortunately SEREMAR Ferries do NOT accept the ticket on the app. We had a nightmare at Sorrento Port trying to get to Amalfi and I would hate for anyone to have the same experience and be stranded.
A great App for people going places
I use the Omio App for most of my travel bookings whether I am in France or elsewhere.
Discounts are made available to users of the Omio App which is an added bonus.
As with all Apps that I have ever used - as the quality and various options used are okay, so we become ever more demanding and what initially our desire was a simple journey between two points becomes for a variety of reasons, a complex journey with more than one intermediate station so the evolving demands on all Apps become more demanding.
Always check that any Travel Booking App that you use not only meets but exceeds your expectations in terms of booking the travel you require and that of family and friends as well as pets!
Don’t assume that all Travel Apps cater for every need that you have, whether we are talking about travel arrangements for people or pets.
Always ask and avoid disappointment and potential fines even when as a purchaser you are not at fault.
