Happy trails!
I have been using outdoor Z for many years and they are professional and have good customer service. They are very fair and on your side and on the guest side somehow. I also use other sites as well finding all of them to be pretty good.
Extremely Disappointed – Worst Experience as a Host!
Outdoorsy fails to protect hosts and covers up thousands in damages!
Do not trust Outdoorsy to rent out your RV. They have zero protection for hosts when things go wrong and their customer service is an absolute joke.
I recently rented out my RV, and the guest caused extensive damage and overages. After returning the vehicle, the guest maliciously canceled their credit card authorization to avoid being charged. This left me unable to collect $153.20 for excess mileage and generator usage, and $49.80 for a late return. Furthermore, the renter severely burned the kitchen countertop and broke the refrigerator door handle, resulting in $816.00 in repair costs.
Totaling over $1,000 in legitimate fees and damages, Outdoorsy’s customer support did absolutely nothing to help. Instead of holding the renter accountable or utilizing their insurance/protection policies, the agents repeatedly gave me the runaround, intentionally dragged out the process for weeks, and finally tried to force me to settle the entire case for a measly $150.00.
Outdoorsy allows fraudulent guests to walk away scot-free while leaving hosts to pay for major damages out of pocket. Their "host protection" is a complete scam. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and taking further legal action if this is not resolved properly. Avoid this platform at all costs!

Good Luck Getting Paid
My guest departed 30-days ago. I’m still waiting to receive my payout. Customer Service offers platitudes, but no results. They don’t even publish a phone number so you can speak to a real person. You get chatbot and AI generated emails 24-48 hours after you submit a request. I had an old bank account number in the system, so their typical 7-10 day payout policy (why would it take two weeks to transfer funds??!!) has now been 30-days. I email every day. I was assured that t”they are closely monitoring the situation” and then got ghosted for two weeks. Only to get another email full of apologies and platitudes, but they still have my money! I’ve had three different “agents” respond. No one is willing to step up and actually get me paid. Senior management take note. I’ve asked that this case be elevated to a real person with authority to resolve the issue several times. Still waiting…
