Worse than useless

The app has minimal functionality and is woefully short of the features expected from a modern utility company

Invalid json format….

Can’t even log on, just get this error in a black box at the bottom. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same issue

Not really useful

Very basic. I can see my bills and submit a reading (I have smart meters so not necessary). That's about it. Cluttering up my phone, will delete.

Utterly useless

Totally lacks the functionality you come to expect from an Energy Company App. Actually appears it may have been put together by a high school kid learning the basics

Borderline unusable. Provides nothing useful and adds no functionality to manage my usage or account

Total waste of everyone’s time

The app is an embarrassment and one that really does make me wonder if I should trust them with my energy supply. It hardly functioned when it opened but now it simply doesn’t get past Face ID, in fact that has just stopped working entirely and now it just shows a blank screen. What they think they are fixing in the updates is anyone’s guess.

So Bad

This app is so bad when compared to the other vendors. Customers on smart meters expect smart apps from their suppliers and the ability to track their energy usage on a daily basis. You have all the data and an interactive graphical interface is child’s play . Come on up your game!!!

No frills

Its a no frills operator. Hence why cheap. Basic app. Basic tools. App works great for what it is. Billing support contact customer services. They are decent. Sometimes busy

Absolutely hopeless

Worst app I’ve ever used. Switched 3 months ago from Fuse, whose app was awesome, could see everything, usage, cost, 30 minute increments, could do everything too.
I’m still having to give manual meter readings 3 months down the line too, as Outfox coming up with multiple reasons why they’re not connected to my meter, but each time assuring me it’s fixed, then next month arrives and it’s not.
I’m off after my fix ends, back to Fuse or similar, I’d sooner pay a bit extra for a much better service and app/online experience.

Unless

I cannot see my smart meter usage and I cannot adjust my direct debit. This app is pointless.

Drop-down to select property to view

I have no interest of looking at my other address yet I am made by the app to select my current property every time I use the app
Can you not have a setting in the app that tells it which address to show at the start ??

This app simply does not work.

Useless app: it won’t let me log in: keeps telling me I have the wrong username ID. Considering changing energy suppliers: can’t cope with how lousy this is. Might go back to Octopus: their app was brilliant.

Rather useless

I switched from Octopus after two years of receiving daily usage reports. The Outfox app is useless and tells me nothing. Wish I stayed with Octopus.

Virtually pointless.

Coming from Octopus, this is bad. Looks like you guys know this so hopefully things will improve ASAP.

Poor app

I switched from Octopus to Outfox as they were the cheapest and sadly, the app shows you why. Very poor functionality, no realtime usage, virtually no graphical representation of usage, predicted usage etc. Do yourself a favour, take a look at the Octopus app and copy the best/most useful bits.

Touchscreen Non Friendly

Very unfriendly towards touch screen. Context option to paste credential is so difficult. Seems created by novices. When password is incorrect it specifically mentions invalid password. Would be better to state username or password is incorrect.

Renewing contract

I find it a little unbelievable that there is no option on your app or website to actually renew a fixed term contract with yourselves?

Just Switching

Dreadful process. Been with a variety of companies - British Gas, Octopus Energy such easy switches. App is useless, doesn’t allow input of initial meter readings, link in email doesn’t allow readings, no luck phoning or chatting - absolute joke. Only thing done efficiently is to take my first payment before switch.

New To Outfox

Just joined and firstly couldn’t sign in. Phoned for help and found an update was ongoing so had to delay firing up the app. I was also emailed different instructions which worked. Once signed in I couldn’t give a meter reading as the app isn’t working properly.
I’ll phone again and if I can’t get the app to work I’ll try another energy company 🙄
