You literally can’t select a meter time longer than an hr, so you have to remember hourly to repay for the spot. VERY inconvenient,
Unusable
Tried about 10 times telling ParkRTC to call or text the code to my cell phone. App kept saying number is invalid, but I use it every day. No contact info for help with the app.

Imagine having to park for a place that for the last 10 years you didn’t have to pay to park and this is the reason why this area in Reston town center as a hole has lost so many good businesses because someone has to force you to pay just to park a car

It charges you even when you don’t have to pay for parking (like after 5 pm).
Illegal Business Practice?
The app started charging my time before I even clicked submit. When the payment went through I had already lost five minutes because I was filling out credit card info. Is that even legal? I didn’t even get the full hour I paid for.
So difficult to use
Seriously, I just want to pay for parking. Why make me login, then have to input my phone, then verify a code, then create a pin, then oh I need to enter a credit card first, then I can enter the pin again, then I have to again verify the code. Finally after all this chaos, I find out parking is free for today.

I am one who dreads conducting business via apps, but this app is easy and doesn’t boggle my mind to use.
Don’t need a new app for everything
The rest of the region uses Park Mobile. No option to pay at a kiosk either and using the website doesn’t allow Apple Pay so you have to enter your credit card which takes up even more time. Stop trying to make Fetch happen
Terrible app, terribly structured payment system
Do yourself a favor and skip RTC, it’s literally the only shopping complex in Northern Virginia that charges for parking. It’s also easily the least convenient shopping complex due to the layout of the stores and the parking towers that are very far from most destinations.
Most of the businesses that thrived here have closed because of how poorly Boston Properties has bungled the parking rules and systems of the town center.
The app is absolutely garbage too. No where else in town do you have to trust a sketchy and barely functional app and provide it with your payment details just to shop.

Hate!
I have an admittedly unreasonable hatred toward this parking app. First of all, parking should be free in a place where you would like people to walk around exploring and spending money at local businesses. Having to pay to park here is egregious from the outset. Secondly, this app is annoying because I’m in Reston maybe twice/year but need to keep this stupid app on my phone. While I hate oligopolies and monopolies as much as the next person, frankly I’d prefer to use the standard parkmobile app that the rest of the entire universe uses. Not to mention they make you pay in one hour increments, I guess so they can collect as much money as possible.

No reason for an app
Just fix your website so we can pay there. Why do you need a permanent presence on my phone?
Not enough time
It seems like your time starts whe. You start the app not when you push the button to make a restoration. It gave me less than the hour I paid for. It’s bad enough that have to put up with this to go to a store, at least okay fair.
App steals and takes advantage
It took me 5 minutes to set up parking with my moms car. The app started counting my time the moment I started setting up. I completed payment and it showed 55 min left. I am so upset. These guys are total crooks. It’s also anti-business to charge customers that intend on doing business in this location. $3 per hour without the ability to choose 30 or 90 min.

Awful fee structure
Fee structure seems predatory and unfair to someone who just wants to be here one time. 20 min charge should simply not be allowed for soemthing like parking. They are basically stealing peoples money.

No value added over ParkMobile
Reston Town Center wants to collect and control data on who parks there to police subway parkers who shouldn’t park there. Unfortunate in that it causes the rest of us to download a separate parking app in addition to ParkMobile which is a pain if you’re late or trying to make an appointment on time in Reston. Dump the app, go with the mainstream app, and find another way to police subway parkers.
