Push notifications
Push notifications stopped working over a week ago. Nobody at PayPal seems interested in a fix or offering any help. Migrate to stripe would be my advice
Notifications stop working
The app was working fine but all of the sudden I’m not receiving any push notifications from the app. Also why does the invoices that are open always show a wrong number?
Do not download or use
Worst payment processor in existence. Constant login issues. They hold your money for 21 days on EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION. I can never login on my phone due to the constant login issues.
Love this app
Love this app and so happy PayPal has it. I am not likely the new app they now have. Invoices are unprofessional looking and take to much time when trying to do line items for clients. I do wish PayPal would send out a new update on this though since I’m not unable to log in on the app. I hope they didn’t do away with it. That would be stupid on their end.

Ridiculous daily report
PayPal started this irritating daily summary, and there is no easy way to turn this off. Very frustrating and over reach by PayPal to do this without my consent
Permanently Deactivated Account after 1 day
I CANT WIDRAW MY CLIENTS DEPOST FOR 180 days
Spoke to multiple Customer service representatives (NO ONE CANT TELL ME WHY)
I have 2k sitting on their platform and I can’t withdraw it.
Was forced to use my own money to do the job for my client.
I appealed and had NO ANSWER
THIS IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING SITUATION IVE EVER HAD
PLEASE THINK TWICE WHEN USING PAYPAL FOR YOUR BUSINESS
I DO NOT RECOMMEND

App won’t open anymore.
After logging in it just staying in the loading screen. No log in errors, app just won’t load. Haven’t had this issue until recently and it’s a real pain.
Not designed for small businesses or sole proprietors.
Not recommended! I started a sole proprietorship business as a side hustle, managing everything legally and legitimately. I opened a PayPal business account because there was no monthly fee and I could have my clients use their credit cards. After 2 weeks PayPal blocked my account and required more information about how my business worked and ran, I submitted and they replied the documents weren’t legible, please keep in mind I submitted PDF docs downloaded from supplier websites.
After 5 days of my account being blocked and unavailable to send invoices or receive payments I lost a $24,000 job because of a construction schedule and timing. They will lock your account without warning and you’re dead in the water and waiting for them, they clearly have no idea how a sole proprietorship works and that a new business has little to no history of taxes and suppliers.

Working Capital
The working capital loan is just ridiculous. They offered it to me last year when my business was at a certain sales average. I paid it back within 90 days which was the estimated time. Mind you, you don’t have to pay it back in their estimated time, but I did. After that, I couldn’t get another one. They try to hype you off like you can, but my business has been higher than that, i’ve gotten excited and interviewed people thinking that I could get another loan and buy a station to put them in with another loan. I meet all requirements listed. Even the representatives that I talked to on the phone say that I look like I am eligible and just keep trying, but I’ve been trying for six months. It’s just a scam and a way to keep getting your information. I don’t even bother. I’ll be using a different platform that will help me grow my small individual business. PayPal doesn’t care.

The app doesn’t let me to login and freezes
Issues
It’s difficult to use when the scanner can’t scan properly and I can’t get my customers payments transferred to my bank account without having it limit access to me for trying to scan my face and identification
Can’t login
It’s been 11 months since the latest version, no wonder it is no longer working as login simply does not work, it freezes after entering credentials.
Horrible for new businesses
Every single time I’ve gotten a payment over 2,000$ in my first year with PayPal I’ve had my account restricted and had to send the same 7 files over and over again to get access to the money. They single handily shut my business down for 18 days last year and 3 days this year. Do not use them if you don’t have a ton of years in business and super consistent pay, their going to pester you for invoices, recipes, “proof of business”, licensing and anything else they feel like and it takes a hour and a half of dealing with a horrible AI to finally speak to a human on the phone. Horrible service. I’ve shown 150k worth of sales last year that they took a good cut of and I’m apparently still a risk. You’re better off using square or any other POS system. These guys don’t care about you they just want that 3% cut.

Just frozen
Just frozen. Yes it’s up to date, and I force quit and reopen. Still just sitting there frozen on login screen. Idk how people still have hope for Paypal to not go out of business, they put the last nail in their coffin when they agreed to have Shopify process payments instead of sending the money to the merchants directly. They had such a great opportunity to start a new marketplace after the split with eBay with all the userbase they had.. nope. It’s a useless service now as merchants do not use it any more, and they are dead without merchants. And now I can’t even open it to add money, which takes for ever, for the one or two subscriptions I still have linked to it. This is a dying company.

Don’t use them your account will be deactivated for no reason and they will hold your money and won’t let you take it out. Chase is so much better.
Linking bank bug
Tried to link another bank account but when going through the steps it gets stuck. When trying to connect me with my bank (Amex) and says logging you in securely it just spins and does nothing. Assuming some type of pop up or screen change is supposed to happen but it just stays there.
