I was using PayPal, not a lot because I didn’t order that much, but the last Time I used it (Jun2022), they said they payment didn’t go through, so paid for my order by credit card…and later that day I got an email from PayPal that my payments had gone through….so I ended up paying for purchase twice and when I sent them an email they said I had to go thru the seller, which was on a Walmart market sight, Walmart said they weren’t responsible for PayPal’s charge, and so I haven’t gotten my money back to this day….someone has a payment but no purchase so they should know that the money should be return. Anyway I’m not using PayPal anymore

Freezes frequently and won’t allow item edits
Paypal has been my go to point of sale for a long time. My business is seasonal. For the last 3 summers (since I upgraded to the touch pay credit card module, the app crashes or freezes in the middle of transactions, if I try to edit my items, it will also freeze or crash. Twice this summer, it froze in the middle of service and actually married two separate customers transactions, so I lost money on those. Luckily I hand write my tickets and check against PP. the constant freezing and crashing of this app is wholly inconvenient, and I’ve lost faith in PayPal’s overall system.

Really satisfied !!
I have not had problems with the “free” card reader or PayPal, just an occasional declined card, which had nothing to do with PayPal. Will look into a new reader to keep up with the latest technology before this reader has problems. Keep up the great work !! Thanks.

Have access to my money that second
Very happy with the app and several different readers. Used for years. Few times I had technical issues I could talk to a live person and find out is was usually a mistake I was making. Although it was years ago I could only get email support on issues with square, which was to slow for a on location problem.

PayPal
I’ve been using PayPal for about 17 years for various things. I’ve found that they Provide me with excellent service, no matter which one I use them for. I feel completely safe when paying my bills or allowing my customers to pay me through PayPal. PayPal thank you for keeping my information safe.
Easy to use but…
I like the ease of use. I would love it if could be improved to better connect customer information with PayPal. When you take the time to add customer information into PayPal Here it doesn’t send that information to PayPal. It would be so helpful if when you type in customer name and address if would be attached to the order then allow you to send product without having to retype the same into PayPal. I have mentioned this in the passed but nothing has changed.

Very Pleased
I have been using this system for over 3 years now and I have no complaints, however sometimes my card readers don’t work when I’m attempting to cash out my customers. That’s the only issue that I have encountered and it’s a real hassle and a bit embarrassing.
Frustrating, but it works
Having to constantly sign in gets very tedious. And when you have to do so in the middle of a sale it forgets the previously entered items until you try to complete the transaction, at which time it adds them both together (a $10 sale suddenly becomes a $20 sale), and is EXTREMELY difficult to remove the previous items. That being said, it does complete sales, and puts the money into your PayPal account, so it’s got that going in its favor.

Works great now
Have been having issues with this app running extremely sluggish on my iPad 7, it takes quite a while to respond to touch. I came here to leave a bad review but notice there was an update. I installed the update and it’s running better now.
Becoming a love hate relationship
PayPal equipment was included in the business I bought so I started using it, loved that a debit card came along soon after started using the app, and that fees didn’t seem too big of an issue. BUT, the transaction steps are way to cumbersome when they do NOT have to be! Please PayPal, realize cash transactions should not be more steps than card transactions!! And always having connectivity issues with the card reader is embarrassing! Have tried multiple ways to help this and still an issue...looks like I will have to try something else soon.

Love the app
We have a brick and mortar store and i love how easy the app is to use and how easy it is to get my reports. I wish that it had some more features, like being able to accept multiple payment types per transaction (like partial cash payment, and then the rest on a card). And I wish there was an option to discount only one line item instead of the entire transaction, or to be able to do multiple discounts if one item is 25% off and another is 50% off. That would make seasonal item sales easier to process. But for what it can do I really like the program.

New update has major glitch
We had to install the updated version recently -after using this app for a Year several times a day without too many problems, we were surprised that now the price buttons move when you tap on them to a different part of the screen and then you have to tap them again to enter a single digit number, repeating each digit, for the entire price of the item-this is very time consuming when you are ring up dozens of items. I’m super disappointed because it takes so long to check my customers out.

Could use some UI/UX updates
I use this app regularly for a small business. It works fine for the most part but it does time out occasionally in the middle of card transactions. It isn’t a huge issue but it is not the most convenient when there’s a line of customers to be checked out. I like how it prompts to save customer information for some of the auto billing but I personally haven’t found a way to go back and look for those customers. Over all I think this is an okay app.

Good app, needs more features and flexibility
By and large, this app supports my small business needs; multiple user profiles is a nice feature. However, the differences between the iOS & tabletOS are odd. The tablet has an option for creating a specific set of items that you want displayed, the phone does not. It would be nice if you could create multiple sets of item lists to have available for different venues. I would also like to see the cash option come back to the fore when presenting payment options. I get that PayPal doesn’t make $ on those transactions, but don’t making usability difficult. Lastly, I would also like to see the list of checkout items come back to the fore as well. Hiding them behind the available items is not helpful.

Fast and easy
Have used PayPal for several years. We use it outside at sporting events as well as more typical indoor venues. Very happy with it’s ease and convenience. Also very pleased with my experience with PayPal working capital. Have recommended PP many times, including to a nephew who started his own business.

Works Great, Never had a problem
I have been using PayPal for many many years now. Never a Problem with them or the PayPal app. The card reader I use with my apple iPad has never had any issues. Customers Credit Cards did though. Not enough money. Lol. So if you have a problem, look at your device or your internet provider. Not the PayPal App or card reader. I just have the old free reader that plugs in the head phone spot. Haven’t even had a problem with it taking a chipped card. Money is in my account before the customer leaves. I will always use PayPal. No other!

Seems more stable
My business was one of the first in the nation to use square, and we stuck with them happily until the quarantine shut us down for good. Starting a new business, we decided to give PayPal Here a try. While it could never have replaced square in our old multi-unit chain, for a scaled down start up it does enough. It does seem to glitch out significantly less often than Square, but I assume that’s the trade off for significantly fewer features. I’d say I’m happy with it at our current level, but should we ever begin to expand it will clearly fall short.

Best payment app service available
Very fast, very reliable, I have used this service for many years. The payments are recorded fast, customers love it as well as I do, not complicated to use, and it also gives detailed receipts and keeps great transaction records. Customer service is fast and friendly and I think it is a must have service that every merchant should consider.

I never had an issue with it at all I am very pleased with it had Paypal here since when it 1st came out and that was a very long time ago and I had Paypal way before papypal here I really never had and issue with PayPal but a few times it was not Paypal it was a differ business that’s with PayPal but besides that I’m a very happy customer a perfect 5 stars

Great but wish there was more
It’s a good app I just wish there was a way at the end of each month for it to tell you the total food and beverage tax instead of you having to manually go through each transaction. Also I notice when you try to get a receipt sometimes the option to have it printed doesn’t show up. Either then that it’s great
