Latest update is a big step backwards
In the latest update, you now need to tap “brush now” before you switch to the brushing screen or start brushing (without knowing for sure if it’s connected or not). It used to connect to your brush handle and switch to the brushing screen, so you weren’t worried about the screen timing out and auto-locking. But now, if you don’t start brushing quickly, it’ll time out and you need to unlock your phone to be able to monitor your brushing. Please go back to the old system! If you want to make any updates, add a battery level indicator and remaining brush head life on the screen AFTER YOU FINISH BRUSHING, and consider adding a mouthwash timer button afterwards also so you have a convenient way to time it.

The app can’t count properly
Every time I use the app it’s subtracts between two and four times brushing. This morning it dropped from 161 to 158 what base are you using to count in guys?
Latest update ruined app
Not impressed with having to press extra button now and wait for app to find brush. Same old same old, it wasn’t broke before, it didn’t need fixing.

Glitchy app
This app kinda sucks. It glitched, doesn’t pop correctly and half time time doesn’t even show my brushing in real time. Very disappointing considering how expensive the toothbrush and toothbrush heads are.
Reinforces good oral health
I love my toothbrush!!! When I went recently to my dental cleaning, which by the way is four times a year due to plaque. The oral hygienist said there was a mock improvement add that the plaque that normally built up between Cleaning was markedly less and that my gums looked very healthy. I definitely attribute it to the toothbrushing and the timely reminders to rinse, clean tongue and floss.

Pointless notifications
I don’t need a notification at 3pm that the app can’t connect to my toothbrush when I’m not even home. Stupid decision.
Update based on the developer reply: a notification saying it hasn’t connected to my toothbrush in a long time is dumb no matter where I am. I know if I’m using the app or not. Don’t interrupt my life thinking your app is more important. Uninstalled

Issues
Love the app! It has its glitches. Sometimes when I’m on a certain area it shows that I’m brushing the opposite side. Next update I would add a tongue brushing option.
Improved Brushing Feedback
The brushing feedback seems to be more accurate with this new version of the Sonicare App.
New version is not working
Ever since the update my toothbrush connects to the app but doesn’t show its guided position. The app moves through my mouth and sometimes the brush shows where it is but only the first position. None of the teeth show complete and the session ends as all yellow meaning that the teeth are not clean. Old version worked perfectly each time. I tried resetting the brush etc with no success

Poor intelligence for a premium-priced product
The toothbrush I bought cost more than 400 USD. It is the flagship premium product. The software it comes with, supported via this app, was a focal marketing point. You would think for this price, the app would be smart enough to attribute brush sessions after midnight to the same daily cycle, but it doesn’t. I also have doubts about the accuracy of the Focus map, which shows you a mapping of the areas where you haven’t been brushing adequately. I think there may be a tracking limitation depending on how you hold the brush. Also, the average duration and frequency sections stopped displaying average values for me this week. I tried resyncing, restarting the app, and updating it, but the issue persists. Overall, this app feels like an afterthought and is underdeveloped. You have a lot of work to do to bring up its quality to the price tag and claims you’re making as part of marketing your premium oral care products.

Love the app. Really useful and keeps me on track. Only wish the counter was in a bold font. I have trouble seeing it without glasses.
Phone Sync Unreliable!
My Diamond Clean toothbrush tells me certain areas aren’t being brushed when I know they are. Phillips has told me it’s an App issue that their IT department is working on but it’s still not fixed. I paid a lot of money for this syncing tool that doesn’t work.
Best Toothbrush
This is the best toothbrush I’ve ever used. It did take me a while to get the hang of it. Thank God, my brother had one already and could talk me through it. I do think there should be a tutorial video included with purchase, however, my teeth, have never felt cleaner and I love the app.

The new software update is a game changer! Connectivity is so much improved. I used to have to stand facing a specific direction and hold my phone at a precise angle to have my brushing “count.” The new app is so much better. WOW!
Love the brush
I love this toothbrush, wish the bristles were other than plastic, and wish the software always registered all the brushing I do in each quadrant.
