We just want to play tennis
So many attempted bells and whistles that add nothing and do nothing. We just want to play tennis. The process of making a reservation—which is all we need—is easy, but still worse than the previous interface where we play because you cannot see the entire grid. Good luck to you if you don’t get your court—or any court, if you play for two hours—on the first try, you won’t know what other courts are available. And no one needs a FB-style “profile” —or even a mobile phone!—to play tennis at a local tennis center.
The only reason this software—which has been updated six of seven times just in the six weeks our location has forced us to use it, fixing bugs is great but it has more bugs than an entomology museum—gets two stars instead of one is that their “help” people are very responsive, very nice, and very clear in explaining things, and that matters.
We just want to play tennis. No added benefits to what we experienced before we had to use this, a very easy reservation process (that’s a good thing!) that nevertheless is not as good as what our center had, shiny things that must have impressed the people in the offices who have never made (or taken) a reservation at 7am or miss out on courts…nothing but a stressful step backwards.
We’re recreational tennis players. We just want to play tennis. Our weekly group is seriously considering going to play somewhere else…because of this software. Bells, whistles, profiles, ratings, requests—no, thank you, meaningless, useless, we just want to play tennis.

Complete mess
This is probably the worst and most unnecessarily complicated app I’ve ever had to use.

Not user friendly
Playbypoint is hard to use and navigate. Also, why do I need to contact the club directly to cancel a reservation? This makes it so hard for users to get a credit or refund, especially when it’s raining and the reservation has to be rescheduled or cancelled. I’d much rather use playtomic or reserve directly with the club.

Downgraded UI
What happened? Until v4.0.6 the UI was nice, this latest version feels awful, the tabs have different UI between each other, where the Bookings screen feels like native but others feels like the UI was made for browser.
Game changer
Finally an app that makes booking courts actually simple. Found a club near me in seconds and booked without calling anyone. 10/10
The new interface is too much visually
The previous one was simple and had easier navigation. The new one is too busy with tiny letters it also keeps crashing on the chat when trying to check messages.

Love this app! Made my life way easier! Playbypoint enabled me to play with my friends and make great memories!
very bad upgrade
I dont like this newest upgrade - where everything is is now confusing, there are missing filters that i can’t use to find the specific sport i want, and even sending a message to get support is greyed out so I can’t even get help. the old version was so much better. they’re trying too hard with this one. debug this and add old features back.

Most recent update 4.0 is a mess
Lots of bugs!! Insists on updating your profile when booking a court even with a complete profile. Support is an AI agent which cannot provide specific feedback to assist in fixing a problem. Messaging has a flaw causing a fuzxy stripe in the middle of the screen. No clear way to reach a human for help.

Glitchy af
Isn't the whole point of this app to make it easier for people to book and pay for lessons? So why is it impossible for me to add a card or pay for a damn lesson??? I've tried the website, the app. Nothing works. Spinning wheel of death. Hate this platform. Gotta find a place that doesnt use it
Frustrating
Was working fine until it made me update. Now I can’t log in, doesn’t send me a new link to reset my password, and doesn’t accept my phone # (it’s invalid?) when I try to sign up for a new account.
Bad app
This app seems to have very good reviews but if you read the reviews, they’re all very bad. My experience is that the UI is absolutely terrible and this app is barely functional as a result. It’s too bad because it’s a good concept, but it’s just not well made.
Can’t actually turn off push notifications
I disabled push notifications, but I’m still receiving them.
No respond on chat with us & inconsistent info with website
The chat box never respond on the question, rather needed to calling the number but the booking already unavailable. Also the website offer different views and classes than the app. Not sure which should be reliable to trust.
Overly ambitious but broken system
Booked a pickleball lesson with Pickle Social Club in Malaysia for the first time. Payment processed successfully but pickleball court didn’t not have my class registration when I got to the court. No error message either. Learned from the court that some other customers experienced the same. Class was full so I could just go home and wait for the refund. Such a waste of my time. Will not book anything with any business that uses this broken system

Have had a horrible time adding a card to pay. Keep getting spinning wheel of death. Reached out for help and they were super unhelpful. Would like to play while out of town for work but apparently the only way to play at a certain club is via this app…
