Account reviews are regulatory requirements and Pockit must perform account reviews to comply with UK banking law and regulations. In the event your account is placed under review, we will contact you immediately via email and also through your online account to let you know what is required. Itās important that you follow the instructions in the email and app as soon as possible to avoid delays. Also, please make sure to read the instructions carefully and provide the correct documents and information.
Urgent action is required from you:
You can avoid delays in time taken for the review to be completed by submitting the required documents and information as quickly as possible. Not providing the documents that are needed can significantly delay or impact the outcome of the review.
We include the review process within our T&Cs and each customer must agree to this prior to opening an account, please see this under section 7.5
In the world of financial services, everyone must do their bit to protect the banking system against financial crime. In line with our regulators the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and UK Government guidelines all authorised firms must have systems and controls in place to mitigate the risk that they might be used to commit financial crime. This could be money laundering, fraud, identity theft or terrorist financing to name a few.
To do this it is our responsibility to carry out customer due diligence checks when prompted by our payment providers. This additional information is on top of the standard KYC (know your customer) checks that are automatically carried out when you sign-up. We appreciate that this can be inconvenient but to put it frankly, itās the law and Pockit must comply with failure to do so risking fines for the company and legal consequences for our employees.

Absolutely terrible experience. I would strongly advise people to think twice before trusting Pockit with their money.
My account was restricted and my £348.22 was locked away from me while they carried out a review. I understand that financial companies sometimes have to conduct checks, but the way Pockit handled this was extremely frustrating.
I contacted customer service repeatedly and kept receiving the same generic responses telling me that my account was āunder reviewā and that I simply had to wait. At one point I was told the review could take up to 8 working days, and later I was told they couldnāt even provide an exact timeframe.
Meanwhile, I was unable to access my own money for regular and essential payments, which caused me financial problems at home.
What makes this worse is the lack of proper communication. Nobody could give me a clear explanation of what was happening or when I would get access to my funds. I was basically told to keep waiting.
For me, this is completely unacceptable. A financial service should give customers confidence that they can access their money when they need it.
I have completely lost confidence in Pockit and will be closing my account once my money is released.
My honest advice: if you are considering using Pockit, think very carefully before putting your money with them. I certainly wouldnāt recommend them based on my experience.
Horrible app
DO NOT BANK
Terrible unprofessional service , I have had funds sent yesterday to my account and still havenāt received them 1 working day later and I was promised contact by āemailā not even a message. I havenāt had any contact by anyone , I have rent and bills to pay today and this has left me in a situation of financial stress. DO NOT USE!
Worst bank
AVOID AVOID!!! SCAM BANK !!!!
Fees, fees, fees, fees
Sending money out of your account? Thatās a Ā£1.50 charge
Paying a direct debit? Thatās a Ā£1.50 charge
Using your bank card? You guessed it thatās a charge!
But it doesnāt stop there! Use the cash advance? Upfront charge + any of the above charges when you use it. But when you pay it back thatās Ā£1.50 for transferring money to your account + another Ā£1.50 for paying the money back, want to do it again thatās another Ā£1.50 for paying the Ā£5/Ā£10/Ā£20 and the cycle goes on. Itās actually crazy how they can operate like this.
