A Delightfully Intuitive Wellness App That Makes Self-Reflection Feel Effortless

I’ve tried many wellness and journaling apps, and most feel either too clinical or too simple. Present Sense strikes a thoughtful balance between calming, reflective, and genuinely useful.

What stands out is its focus on recognizing patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors - not just tracking moods, but understanding recurring cycles.

The design is clean and intuitive, and features like “Log a Feeling,” “Find Quick Relief,” and “Reflect” make it easy to use anytime. The breathing and grounding exercises are simple, practical, and effective.

Most importantly, the app feels genuinely human and centered on self-awareness rather than engagement. Highly recommend if you want something deeper than surface-level mindfulness.

Response from developer

This is such a thoughtful review. Thank you. You named the thing we care about most: patterns over moods, self-awareness over engagement. That distinction is the whole reason Present Sense exists. Happy it’s landing the way we hoped. Glad you’re here.

Awesome App

Simple. Elegant. VERY helpful. Great app with resources to help in your mental health journey.

Response from developer

This means a lot, thank you. Simple and calm by design is exactly what we set out to build: something you can reach for and get help right now. Every tool is grounded in evidence-based practice (CBT, DBT, ACT, grounding), and the core set is always free. So glad you found your way here. Wishing you ease, friend.

Response from developer

Many moons later, Present Sense has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. If you’ll give it another chance, you should find these bugs fixed in version 5.0, and many new features and improvements to the reliability. Development is active again, feel free to email support@base11studios.com with feature requests or feedback. Contact us and we’d be happy to provide a free promotional code to try premium features again!

Worth it

Its a simple app, no crazy bells and whistles; but that’s the point. Its like going to local family businesses to avoid Walmart. Less convenient, but everything is still there. Most important part being it’s from pure hands and people that genuinely care and you can see that. I’m happy with the app. I recommend it fully and just pay two bucks a month to upgrade. Also worth it for everyone’s sake.
Great app, and great idea.
