Update not as good

I was using the previous version every day. The new version does not fit the screen of my iPhone SE and I can no longer submit progress at the end of the routine. I’ve stopped using the app altogether.

Working with a therapist

Working with a therapist is definitely helpful
My therapist is Courtney and we do it virtually on line .I don’t think I would have gotten rid of my pain is it were not for her.
Wasn’t sure if I would be in a wheelchair today and given up if it wasn’t for her and a friend who recommended her.

App functionality is not worthy of the exercise program

Unfortunately, the app does not function well. It is a hindrance. It's difficult to get a session started. I have to hit the button to start the session something like ten times before it will finally start. (And yes, I closed out of app, restarted phone, etc.) I've been doing my program regularly and the app says I haven't. The partying animals at the end of a session are nice but the front page of the app says I'm derelict. Not very motivating. I'd prefer to just log my program on paper at this point. The only reason I continue with the app is that my PT can see what I'm up to. He told me that the app is buggy and that my sessions do get logged even if on my side it doesn't look like it. I agree with another reviewer that the machine lady voice barking "three, two, one..." is unpleasant.
This app needs some work.

PTX miracle

I cannot say enough about PTX. I got in touch years ago before s knee surgery and got so much help and relief at that time. Now I’m suffering with sciatica and John gave me a new program for that and it’s gone!!!
Please people- do yourself a favor and try this

Easy to use at home therapy

The therapy was useful for my neck and back pain, and the app is very easy to follow. It’s great to have an app where I can do personalized exercises at home. I didn’t have to chase down a PT covered by my insurance, I could just signup and get started.

Thank you

This has been a very helpful app to use. Thank you ! Charlene

Fantastic

Been an amazing help to me to maintain fitness at age 83. These stretches as prescribed by a fine therapist can be a doorway to remaining fit into advanced age.

Not having and not using these stretches is a guarantee that you will be reduced to a lack of movement
type lifestyle which will destroy you.

The best

Best therapy in the world no cap

Best PT at home

This program works and is fantastic!

New update adds steps

Why not leave it alone? I used to be able to just pull up the exercise list from my therapist. Now, I have to start a training session and check boxes that submit information to whatever. Before you change things, use them so you understand what’s important to the user. Or ask them. Instead of spamming the world with ways to make another dollar and get those all important stars, send an email to users for review/suggestions for an update.

Recent app update is horrible

Timer stops when the screen goes to sleep. Also can’t see the exercise list without clicking through a bunch of questions. Bring back the old UX please!

June 2023 Update Ruined App

The update ruined a perfectly useful app. Way too much friction and inflexibility now. Data scraping seems to be the motivation as new version forces user to rate their pain index in order to start the exercises!! Why must we offer data in order to access our routines? New version also forces user through exercise plan in the app-lead order whereas previous version was a user-directed checklist that put the user in charge. Finally the old, pleasant timer with quiet cheerful tune at alarm is now a female machine voice ordering the start and end. Sorry, human patient. Technology is meant to be a tool to help humans, but the new PTX app thinks humans are here to serve technology.

Recent changes to app are terrible

I really hate the recent changes to the app. The worst problem is that the timer for the exercises no longer works on my iPhone because s as soon as my screen goes dark ) while I’m doing the exercise), the timer pauses. Not helpful!

I also dislike the addition of the “How are you feeling” score before beginning the exercise menu. I also dislikethat’s it’s more cumbersome to find the list of exercises and the default seems to be open to the first exercise rather than the list. I finally found where the list can be accessed, but just generally think the so changes were not thoughtfully done and wish I could revert to the older version.

Serious Pain Relief

I’ve used this form of exercise for many years and I’m a Chiropractor. I wish I could’ve had this app for my patient many years ago. The best pain relief exercises there are.

Not worth the money

Ok so I have been using the app for awhile for a shoulder injury. I can honestly say that the basic exercises helped with my pain at night while trying to sleep but not with range of motion. After every set they give u a surgery which i would state i needed more SHOULD FOCUSED stuff for my traumatic shoulder injury.. and once again i would get generalized stuff with knee squeezes and posture stretches with one or two shoulder focused things. I worked for a physical therapist for a couple years, i get the whole body is connected. But i also get these arent trailered to your actual injury and are more generalized stretches that you could find on youtube. Also to get any actual interaction with a therapist is $700 on top of the $300 i already paid. So i wouldn’t recommend this. You can find videos on youtube for free that will actually target the area you need.

This is not a public app. You will not be able to open it without buying full membership at a private clinic.

So much relief!

I have been dealing with intermittent neck and shoulder pain for almost 10 years. My physician prescribed muscle relaxers, but I cannot function on that type of medication. PTX Virtual Therapy was recommended by a friend. I’ve been thrilled with the results and the flexibility to fit the treatment into my schedule! If I stop doing my PTX program, I begin to notice my pain returning. I’ve been a dedicated client and am so happy with the results!

Love this app!

I have knee pain and I am scheduled for a knee a replacement in the fall.
The PTX therapy menus have enabled me to be more pain free with my knee and and I can once again walk 2 miles a day.
It’s easy to follow and I love that I have a choice of a short or long menu.

Very effective tool

The PTX app provides huge amount of postural exercises and once you enter your info regarding your pain and posture the app Will provide effective sequential exercises and then you can use another progressive routine which is wonderful and encouraging to follow these exercises.
