Constant issues
The app has only worked briefly since downloading it. Now, after opening the app, I get stuck on the green screen that says “relay”. Will never load past that. I’m having to login to my browser constantly, which is frustrating. I’ve done all the troubleshooting I can, including deleting and reinstalling.

They try to make it easy when you have multiple businesses to run!!
Horrible and slow
This has been the worst banking experience I’ve ever had as a business. I signed up because I liked the ability to have multiple account accounts connected to one to account for separate departments, perfect! BUT- they take 7+ BUSINESS DAYS to process deposits and if you ask for a supervisor they put you on ETERNAL HOLD. Can hardly understand who you’re speaking with and they are RUDE. Not worth it! Going back to local credit union. I read on Reddit today people even have accounts and funds frozen for no reason. Not worth the risk! And it’s actually Thread Bank backing it. This is a fintech front.

Run the other way
I tried this bank for my business because I was recommended this bank. I haven’t even had this account for more than 3 months and while I’m working I check my account to see they allowed a $200 fraud charge from Kuwait into my business account. The very money that was needed for my supplies. Without reaching out or flagging it (because I never made any international purchases either) they just processed the payment. I had to wait the day after to call them just for them to tell me that a temporary credit would be coming on my account in 2 weeks - even though the money was taken out asap - so it’s been a couple days and I still don’t have a credit or the money that was taken from my account. They also said they don’t do any correspondence by email only by mail and it can take up to 3 months for them to process my dispute (as if it’s not already fraud there’s nothing to discuss!!) and if my case comes back as denied then they will reverse the charge so immediately I am so beyond disappointed I missed my rent payment due to the month not being there and $200 that’s rightfully mind I have missing and can not use at all towards my business the way I wanted to. Immediately cancelling after I get the deposit because you should not be offering services to business if you can’t even do a good job at maintaining business accounts!!

Customer support sucks
I’ve been scammed, someone pulled $53 from my account. When I called Relay and asked for support and spent 45 min on a call they eventually sent me to Visa, saying I need to figure it myself. Also sent an email on how to freeze my card. No 24/7 support, no fraudulent transaction support, basically threw me under the bus and told me to figure myself. No weekend support, no investigation was made, no nothing. I am highly disappointed in Relay service and currently transferring my money to another bank. There is a trade off for convenience, so I would rather be protected by big bank rather than begging for support from these guys. This is not how you support your customers.

Really like the auto split, what would be a game changer as if we can simply see money in money out across all accounts, and on individual accounts. If there was Smart categorization as well that would be pretty epic.

Relay is free and a great place to start for small start-ups. Payments, Card usage, moving money and invoicing are a piece of cake. I’d recommend it to small businesses looking for free great banking services.
Stay away and save yourself a bunch of lies
I signed up for my small business and this was a huge regret. I received a check from one of my customers (Governors Office) and the check was official. I reached out to customer service to get a deposit increase and was advised it would take 2 days and then went on to 3 days and then I was told the compliance team was reviewing my request. After numerous run around stories I got an email saying there was suspicious circumstances, LOL I first thought, maybe I can lay out my credentials and the impact I have in my industry. It wasn’t worth the effort or time, this is a joke of a bank or financial institution. This was a complete waste of time to sign up with these people. stay away and save yourself from the disappointment.

Difficulty dealing with fraud on checking account
I’m not sure why I have to have two accounts and it is unclear how one is a debit card account and the other is a checking account that has a credit card I think. First problem is the clarity. Today’s problem is that I have been hacked on my computer and I entered the credit card to pay for something before discovering the fraud. The debit card account was easy to freeze the credit card account that has a balance in savings for checking, does not allow me to designate the people who charge two dollars as a preliminary peak doesn’t let me block them as the first account does. So I suppose I have privileges on one account that I don’t have on the other and I don’t like this I only need one account hence three stars.

Do not be fooled. Difficult to do business with Relay
We are a small business and were looking for a bank that would help with our financial needs with little to no hassle. Let me tell you that Relay is not that for us. It has been weeks and weeks of dealing with delays in releasing our funds and constant emails requesting more and more information. It has been a total nightmare and I am done. They do not offer any phone communication. There is not even a phone number on the email of the person that keeps requesting information so that you can speak with a human and maybe communicate what might be missing in translation. It is absolutely awful. Do not be fooled my friends. Go with a local bank or credit union where a person can be available to help you.

Inaccurate check deposits
This app will pop warnings that your check did not deposit and then will deposit them. Caused a major headache for my small business.
Simple
I love the simplicity of Relay unfortunately my business is not all online and I cannot take advantage of it the way I would like but I highly recommend Relay especially for e-commerce business
No min balances and fast reliable service
The easiest bank I can open accounts for my LLCs without leaving my house. No paperwork in the mail. Nothing to waste time. Love it. Get my transfers fairly fast, and I don’t need a minimum balance to have my money here. Only good things to say!
Hello Business Relay Debit
Not bad, you will need $100 minimum to use any other banks or services such as their checkbooks or other 3rd parties. You can add almost any other financial institution for transfers or direct deposit.
Easy start
Using relay made it easy and paying free to get started with my business banking and didn’t overcomplicate things. The Accounting integrations are also very helpful.
