AI voice

The AI voice is very clear and helpful in following my comments and asking questions following up on what I just said.

Sleeping better for first time in 5 years!

Cognitive behavioral therapy works bottom line. I’m not saying this hasn’t been challenging. I have been pretty discipline following the program and after about a month and 10 days I started to see the results. If you’re willing to do the work, this works.

It Works!

I have used this App for about one year now and it really improved my sleep. The Cognitive Behavior Therapy provided me with non-drug solutions to better consolidate my sleep and improve sleep quality. Even on nights where I still wake up and have trouble going back to sleep, I feel rested in the morning.

10 Days In & Seeing Change

After 10 consecutive days of using Rest, I’m genuinely starting to see improvements in how long it takes me to fall asleep and how much time I spend awake during the night.

After a few extremely hard wildfire seasons and a serious accident, I developed what felt like persistent insomnia. I was exhausted all the time, but still couldn’t sleep properly. At different points I relied on getting heavily drunk, THC, or several sedating medications — including Ambien — and even then I never really felt like I had solved the problem.

I was very sceptical about AI-based therapy at first, although I had heard good things about CBT for other problems I deal with, including OCD-style health anxiety, which becomes much worse when I’m badly sleep deprived.

It is still early days, but the improvement I’m starting to feel, and the discipline this app is teaching me around sleep, is pretty incredible. The programme can feel demanding at times, but stick with the recommendations and actually give them a chance to work.

I genuinely reached a point where I thought I had ruined my mind and that there was no way back to normal sleep. For the first time in years, I’m starting to feel hopeful that I can actually fix this.

If something like this can make a difference for someone who struggled with sleep as badly as I did, I think it is absolutely worth trying.

My only criticism is the price. I’m fortunate that it is affordable on my income, and given what better sleep is worth to me, I would almost describe it as priceless. But I do hope the NHS and other public health services eventually make CBT-I programmes like this freely available, because effective treatment for insomnia shouldn’t be out of reach for people who can’t afford a subscription.

Thank you to the team behind Rest. Ten days in, I’m already feeling something I haven’t felt about my sleep in a long time: hope.

Scam alert

I ordered the one week subscription for $9.99 and canceled 2 days before the expiration date. All this is documented in my apple subscriptions. Trying to contact them is a nightmare. I haven't figured out yet what to do 😩.
