Bad Filters

I used to love Rover. Now every sitter is fully inexperienced or way overpriced. The biggest issue, their filters don’t work. If you mark “dog sitting,” “owns no pets,” etc. you get the exact opposite.

Worst App

Unable to see favorites, can’t even find a log out button, has a red exclamation in your settings tab (aka an alert) and unable to determine what you need to fix even after selecting every option. Will consider using another platform as seriously the worst app I’ve used in a long time. Definitely not user friendly.

Don’t expect any support as a sitter

As a sitter, don’t expect meaningful support from Rover if something goes wrong during an active booking. I accepted a booking that developed serious safety concerns, but Rover provided little practical assistance when I needed help most. Based on my experience, sitters are largely left to handle difficult pet parents and unsafe situations on their own.

Dev needs to do some work

Logging into the app I get an email/password invalid error. But I can log into Rover on a browser. Make it make sense. Reading the reviews it sure does seem like the app development team is having some serious difficulties.

Customer Support

Horrible customer service. Just up and stopped responding to me, after I replied to THEIR email. Disappointing because I loved using this app to find sitters for my cats. But if this is how they treat their customers, I will pay through another service.
