Worst Customer Experience
The model created something completely different than what I asked, I reached out to customer service for a refund and was told no because it did create something for me even though it wasn’t what I had asked.
Scam app designed to drag as much money out of you as possible
Worst app I’ve ever used. Worst AI product I’ve tried. Don’t plan on using this for anything other than its prepackaged element AI slop. For custom work it gets you 80% there on the first pass, then begins to introduce regressions and other errors. It will then charge you to fix its errors. Cannot provide correctly formatted and spelled words and “I’ll fix it this time” consumed a large number of credits. Then it generated exactly the same errors over and over again. The final straw was arguing with me that I did not provide an audio file that was not only visible in the transcription and listed in assets, and that the agent confirmed would be added to the video being produced - before it said “I don’t have any audio”. Amazingly, stunningly bad. I can get better results out of a $20/mo ChatGPT subscription.
Finally abandoned the effort after well over $100 spent. After the “I don’t have the audio” there was comment as the clips were being stitched together , “oh, I need to regenerate (more cost) 14 of 16 clips because of continuity errors.”

Waste of money. Ai agreed it was their fault.
Basic instructions cost you credit, would not recommend to anyone.
The worse experience this company is a joke
They took my money and even acknowledged the technical failures that caused my credits to be consumed, yet they refuse to refund me. I have proof and screenshots. I paid three times and had the same problem. Don’t ever sign up for Runway—look for something else.

Making a single video depleted credits. When installing it, it sounded like I had a lot of credits but they were over. More importantly, the video quality is terrible. The faces of people completely change after generating video.

I agreed to pay $14.99 a month. That’s what shows on my Apple subscription. That’s what I agreed to pay and it charged me $35.99!!!
I want full refund.
Subscription is $14 and when you generate a video you need to pay another $20 to have your video generated. Waste of many. I want-a full refund for the subscription that you need to pay again when you use the apps.
Misleading
Be careful of purchasing the subscription as the monthly is highlighted when you click but once you check your payment you will see that the whole yearly payment is taken all at once. Apparently there is a small print at the bottom and not very well visible. I have requested a refund and not very impressed with the whole process. A bit of a con if u ask me.

Makes to many mistakes
This app needs to be deleted off of the App Store, tweaked and then put back on.. no way I just paid that much money for this many mistakes in my contact
Money pit
Runaway's credit system is exploitative. A subscription seems reasonable, but the credits it provides disappear almost instantly. Every single edit, no matter how minor, requires more credits, forcing you into constant in-app purchases. It's incredibly frustrating. What's worse, the AI often misses the mark. Even when you try to correct it, they've already deducted credits for the botched attempt. They acknowledge their errors but refuse to restore the wasted credits. I've spent far more than the initial subscription fee and feel completely ripped off. The final product is definitely not worth the exorbitant cost.

Expensive
Basically you will have no margin for error due to the price. Imagine having to pay $15+ a month and then additional money ($10 minimum) to fix the many, many mistakes that it makes. It has a chat feature which you would think would make it foolproof because to get to discuss everything with software to get all the details just right and then it makes mistakes over and over again. It’s honestly so bad that I believe that it does it on purpose just to get you to pony up more dough. The software was disappointing 4 years ago and it’s still disappointing now.

If you’re trying to learn the app, it sucks. I subscribed to the monthly plan because I wanted to learn while making a video. And guess what? After my first try, the app told me I didn’t have enough credits and that I had to buy more credits to keep using it.
Basically, you don’t pay for the app and get full access to everything. You pay for the subscription, but it only gives you a small amount of credits to use the tools. After trying them once, you can lose your credits and then have to pay again just to continue using the app.
I didn’t even have time to make one proper video before running out of credits. Honestly, I feel like it’s a rip-off. They’re basically stealing your money.

Not editing correctly
No matter how many times I try it continues to fail. I tried to ask for refund on credits but you get an automated message basically saying no. I followed up anyway and sent them a message directly from my project and now they aren’t responding. I gave them extra money several times in this process. Waste!

You need to put as much detail in there as you can because it does not follow exactly what you say unless there is enough detail. It will make its own mind up so add as much detail as possible.
