False advertising
So I purchased this app it charged me for an entire year so I paid $182 for it to make a short video and then it still told me I needed a credit. It did not give me all the information about how that started so me making the purchase just thinking I would be able to use. It is not working. It’s asking for way other apps that are more honest and tell you how you can use it well you don’t have to spend this kind of money I strong not download this app. Just this app should actually be looked at for the level of dishonesty it is I requested a refund from Apple, but actually talk to them 10 minutes after to try to figure out a way I might get a refund from them can actually get that information so I probably wouldn’t use this app. I don’t recommend anyone using this app. Point I feel like I’ve been stole from.

Fonctionne avec un système de crédit.. ne comprends pas très bien les demandes, on est obligé de faire et refaire et ça décompte des crédits … malgré un abonnement mensuel ce n’est pas illimité et on doit reprendre des crédits. Au final cela revient extrêmement cher! Il vaut mieux se tourner vers une autre app, je déconseille fortement

Runway is Not Worth It!
Upon utilizing the Runway app, I conducted several basic image generations and contemplated undertaking video work. The annual membership looked like the right fit, as it would provide me with additional credits for video and other product generations over the long term. However, I made a significant error by not having sufficient experience with Runway before committing to an annual membership. The AI’s performance is notably sluggish and fails to comprehend basic prompts and requests in a manner comparable to some open-source search engines. Furthermore, the AI exhibits significant flaws, such as adding inappropriate body parts and generating graphic content when no such request was made, then flagged the material they created as inappropriate and not returning the credits they used making something inappropriate… that you did not ask for. Despite citing these creations as issues, the Runway team fails to refund the associated credits. This issue stands out as the most frustrating aspect of Runway. Each generation, whether it involves image, video, or audio, incurs a substantial cost in credits, particularly when the AI employed by Runway fails to adhere to even the most basic instructions. I have numerous screenshots demonstrating the AI’s inability to produce the desired output, and in some instances, it generates extremely graphic content. Consequently, I have had to restrict my niece and nephew’s access to the app. Even when the AI acknowledges executing a request incorrectly or without permission, the Runway team has yet to refund the associated credits. It appears that my needs have been overlooked due to multiple failed AI generations, with screenshots providing evidence of these errors being attributed to the Runway system itself. I am still awaiting the refund of over 4000 credits, which accumulated from various failures and rogue generations generated by the Runway system. Despite this, I have not received any resolution from the Runway team. Despite multiple requests, no contact has been made from an agent. Consequently, I find myself in a chat box with the same AI that has consistently failed on these generations. The AI repeatedly states its failure, apologizes, and emphasizes that “On credits: I can see the cost of each generation in the submission details, but I can’t view your account balance or transaction history from here. For that, head to your Runway account settings or billing page directly.”
In this situation, I am left with $370 worth of a membership and some additional credits that I had to purchase because they exceeded my monthly credit limit. This experience has highlighted an important aspect for prospective buyers: if you obtain the annual membership and receive the monthly credits that accompany it, unused credits do not roll over to the next month. You must either utilize them within the month or lose them.
After thoroughly reviewing the membership rules, regulations, and benefits, I discovered this crucial information only after consulting the Q&A section. It is concerning that this detail is omitted during the initial membership setup, leaving users unaware that unused credits will expire and become unavailable for use.
Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied with Runway and the AI technology they employ. The price they charge is not justified by the quality of the AI’s output. I must admit that I feel foolish for falling for what appeared to be a promising opportunity to enhance my artistic skills and explore the vast possibilities offered by AI. However, I have come to realize that even the most basic image or video requests often deviate significantly from what was intended. I have witnessed videos where 12-inch-long tongues emerged from one of the models, several arms protruded from another, a request for a model to remain stationary next to a moving record player resulted in the model splitting in half and rotating as the record player remained stationary, and I am still awaiting a refund for that incident. Refrain from using this program. While CapCut may not appear to be the most suitable option due to its lack of quote video generation capabilities compared to Runway, it is preferable to Runway. Although Runway’s AI may possess the potential to perform certain tasks, it often fails to execute them accurately. Consequently, they are unable to rectify their mistakes and provide refunds for their errors.

Debacle
The credits allocated for a month last about 20 minutes. The AI doesn’t listen to your prompt correctly so you use your credits in no time. Then you’re stuck with a dud app that does nothing. Do not purchase membership. It is an absolute debacle.
Frustrating, but has potential
The AI on this platform seems to be in its early stages. For $35/month I expect a much better product, though I can see that it has potential. I hate the credit system. It’s flawed, and honestly, stupid. Borderline scam because every time you try to fix its mistakes it costs you credits. Even after prompting it to not use certain characters, for example, and it uses them anyways. Credits should only be spent after the AI image/video is completed correctly. Not when we are trying to fix its mistakes. I’ve requested a refund and would be open to checking this app out in the future if it can get this right. Additionally feedback: get rid of the credit system. If we’re paying a hefty monthly subscription then there absolutely should not be limits to how much we use it.

Waste of Money
Run Away! This app sucks and sucked money from me. I had to pay for more credits to continue generating scenes because it consistently changed the characters from scene to scene. It cannot do narrations and music. I just spent $60 on trash.
Very disappointed experience
I purchased the RunwayML Standard Monthly plan for ₹1,999, but the service did not work properly and I could not use the features I paid for. I contacted support and waited many hours, but the issue was not resolved and communication was very slow. I finally had to cancel the subscription and request a refund through Apple. This was a frustrating waste of time. Runway should improve its service reliability and customer support.

I’ve never been Soooo Frustrated with an app. Spent $35 for a subscription which only allowed me to create 7, 5 sec videos. Then they wanted to charge me for credits after that. I’ve spent $60 on top of the original $35 tonight just trying to generate clips that they continued to mess up over and over again just to get more money out of me. I’m done. This app is a scam. Don’t do it
