Sign in with Apple ID is ridiculous

Signing up using my Apple ID is easy enough, but to sign back in, you have to click on “Don’t have an account yet”.

It’s been a year since I signed up, and after I couldn’t find login info on my password manager or see a sign in option for my Apple ID, I was at wits end.

iPhone users don’t download

I ended up deleting this app (like other users does not work on iPhone) and adding the website to my home screen on my iPhone. Even after reaching out to RYOBI customer support. This needs some serious rework

Beware

App crashes on my iPhone. Won’t work just constantly crashing.

The app has problems

While I have a number of Ryobi products and they all function properly, this app NEEDS TO BE REVISED. My tools listed under the “Tools” tab show an item as having an error. It also shows the SAME item correctly (it is shown twice). It is partially my fault due to a blotched registration attempt. Try as I might to delete the entry, I cannot do so. The app needs to be modified to ALLOW THE USER TO DELETE ANY ITEM ON THE LIST.

Will Not Work

This app will not work no matter how many times I try and log in it will not let me. When I follow directions to contact customer service they want a model number. I just want to use the app not get assistance on a tool
IOS 26 iPhone 16 pro max.

Misleading

The first thing I saw was a "today's deal!" for a product that has been discontinued and not for sale at all. And it MAKES you confirm your address?!? What the hell for? I lost more respect for this company within 5 minutes of downloading their app than I gained in the last 5 years of using their tools.

Takes you on an endless ride

App is cumbersome. Registering a product is like signing a legal document for citizenship. The real challenge is if you must file a claim or request support for a product. You get in a loop of signing into your account multiple times and once you finally get to that point, there are no choices that match my need. I will be making a phone call instead—maybe I’ll get somewhere. Still love the products but support using the app needs to be revamped.

Can’t login

Cant login to the app to register my products. Not sure how this app got more than 4 stars

No longer able to login

This app has always been kind of clunky. The registration is difficult as many tools are the same but have slightly different UPC codes. Currently, I am unable to sign in using my iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 26.5.2) on the current version of this app. I have deleted the app and reinstalled with no luck. Frustrating….

Can’t Register

Good information in app. Appears to be a lot of potential. Tool registration feature does not work. I attempted to register a tool twice, on the same day I purchased it. I had the physical receipt, and I manually enter the serial number, completed the entire registration process twice. Waited overnight. Registration still did not occur.

Impossible to log in at all

There seems to be literally no way to log into this app which is pointless. I now remember I deleted it years ago. Clearly no improvement has been made. Such a waste of time thankfully I was able to login through the website to register my new tools

Worst app ever

This has to be the most user UNFRIENDLY app ever created. Doesn’t work on iPhone. Works on iPad once in a while.

Easier to use website, but not by much. No other company’s registration process that I’ve used has been so irritating.

Advertised in Canada but Doesn’t Support Canada

The app does not work properly for Canadian customers, even though it is advertised on RYOBI tools sold in Canada. During setup, I selected Canada and entered a valid Canadian postal code, but the app still doesn’t allow me to choose a Canadian store. This makes product registration and other features unusable.

Not that good

Ryobi claims that it takes 15 seconds to register a tool. Maybe 15 minutes, definitely false advertising. Also, when a tool is registered, and you hit enter, the tool disappears from your “Tools” list pending approval. So basically you have no idea what the status is. Ryobi please do better.

Very disappointed

The app works OK for a couple things, but definitely not for registering a new tool.
Multiple problems at every level. This happened last time also, I was hoping they’d fixed it.
Had to call, and wait and wait. Once I was able to speak with a human, the registration was quick and easy… it was suggested during the call to “just go to ryobi.com” and not use the app for registration.

Not useful with apple

The app looks great with advertising. searches a catalog, finds store locations, etc… everything except what is advertised, register your tools. The process of scanning barcodes finding serial numbers all works but when I submit the registration each time it disappears into a black hole. App still shows zero tools in my tools.
Using apple iPhone.

Fail

I’m a Ryobi fan, but this app is REALLY bad. Love the products, hate the app. I gave up.

Can’t log in

That’s it. I can’t log in. Nice app…

Terrible Support Experience

I own several Ryobi power tools including (2) 40V 21” mowers. Regarding these, one failed to turn on within 2 years but I bought the second one because I liked the way it operated (when it did work)… Regarding these newer one I purchased a little over a year ago, one battery failed and the newer charger failed within a month or so of purchase… I tried filling a claim but it was time consuming then just to get contact so I never followed up on a claim (shame on me). Now I purchased a bundle of a 20” 40V mowers with a 17” ”Whisper Series” Trimmer. Out of the box one of the tabs that attaches the trim line spool to the trim head was broken. I don’t understand how the part of the equipment that takes the brunt of the force could’ve shipped broken. Now I’m getting the run around on how to get a replacement part. Ryobi and Home Depot are trying to pass the responsibility to the other. Meanwhile they have my $500 and I have un-usable equipment. I’m not going to use the mower just in case I have to bring both units back to get a replacement part. Lol

It’s the absolute worst

Product registration in the app, or anywhere for that matter, is an absolute nightmare. Barcodes don’t work QR codes don’t work and they make you manually enter the serial numbers for absolutely every single piece that comes in your kit or it won’t register at all. I just want to register the trimmer and the battery. I don’t care about the battery charger and the four other things they want me to register in order to complete the registration. An absolute sham!
