Auto Pay setup caused me to be late on a payment
I thought setting up recurring payments would make it easy for me to avoid a late payment. I came to realize you have to manually pay your first payment for recurring to be initiated. Had no idea and then I was emailed about a late payment. Frustrating, the company has one job, to collect money, and they do that poorly.

App is Fine
They will keep logging me out and have me change my password almost monthly.
Sallie Mae is Predatory
Because I wanted to further my education but couldn’t afford to pay for everything outright, I have to pay them an absolutely ridiculous amount of money each month for the next ten or so years. Avoid Sallie Mae if you can, they are not flexible at all and depending on how much money you borrowed, your monthly payment might be uncomfortably high.

Autofill not working in iOS
The app sends you to a browser to login. Besides that, I’m unable to login automatically. I have to manually type credentials. What’s the point of the app?

Make an option to “remember this device” for the username and password, it’s inconvenient having to log in new credentials everyday

Terrible customer service, calls non primary family members to contact for a debt. How rude.
Ashamed
Sallie Mae takes advantage of kids trying to goto school. It’s gross.
Account Issues
This app will not allow me to look at my savings account. Upon logging in, it informs me about loan payment issues that require the website (I don’t have a loan through Sallie Mae, I have a HYSA) and pressing the “x” to leave this notification simply takes me back to the login screen. There is no way to view my account. Disappointing to say the least!

Your app has so much flash and attempts to get more loans you can barely make a payment
The app is great
The app is so much better than logging in through the browser! Setting up auto pay was a breeze. Finally, something that makes things easier.
Going downhill
They took away Face ID, although there is still a setting to select, it does nothing. Tried to give feedback from within settings in the app and the size of the feedback entry screen is such that the submit button is out of view and must be scrolled to. But window just snaps back and scroll button doesn’t stay in view. Impossible to submit feedback.

Automatic log out
I will get more notifications if the app wouldn’t automatically logged me out. That can be a real hindrance when you want to be on time with your payment payments.
