Date on e-registration notice and login
The login is horrible. You need an OTP every single time. Also, the date on the e-registration notice doesn’t update. Please fix it ASAP
Hire Better Software Developers
It’s genuinely crazy to think that SARS paid someone to build this app for, because it is as barebones as it gets, while at the same time being the least intuitive and most buggy experience you will have using an app. It should be developed from scratch and this version should be shelved to never see the light of day. A high school student could make a better app

The app is not user friendly
This app sends an OTP for every log in and the email delays, when you ask them to resend the OTP, it still takes quite some time. When you want to select the payment arrangement option,it gives an error message. You can’t pay using the app and the amount you owe shown in the app is different from what SARS has emailed. So frustrating

Convenient but frustrating
It’s great to be able to submit returns easily but it’s a one way channel , we cannot query anything, no support. Uploading docs is not easy I had to send an image because the pdf won’t work. SARS

Not able to login
The app makes filing my returns so easy but after the last update I am unable to login! Please can this be resolved? I had to use the website to file my return but this is very inconvenient
Cannot make payment
I downloaded the app to pay personal income tax due on my tax return, after trying for days on the website.
It does not work. Payment fails. I try to speak to an assistant and it tells me the service was stopped in 2024. I am not holding on for a call centre all day. I try WhatsApp, it’s just a bot that knows nothing. App deleted.

Terrible app
I wish I could give it zero stars. It keeps making me login multiple times but never goes through. I keep getting an OTP. The first one works but doesn't allow me through and the rest fail
Doesn’t work
This app doesn’t allow me to login . I have been trying resetting my password and everything but still I have no access to my account. This app is just useless. I don’t know maybe it’s my phone but it doesn’t work at all
OTP Not Working
When I try to login and enter my OTP, I consistently get errors saying the OTP could not be verified despite it being correct. How am I supposed to get my tax affairs in order when the app can’t authenticate against correct credentials?
Absolutely horrible App
One would think that a government would make sure that the app the public uses to pay them would work… apparently not. The app crashes when I try to view my tax assessments as well as when trying to view my correspondence. This country and its system is a complete and utter joke.

If there was an option to give this app less then one I would.

Not working
I can’t log in! App keeps telling me to upgrade to latest, but this is the only version available on the App Store. Please sort it out
OTP pathetic
I need to log onto SARS EFiling. The OTP passcode comes hours after the 3 minute expiry on the App and email. Simply useless

Recieved an email about a penalty told to log in and view it on the app, i log in SOA and correspondence have nothing on the penalty. I enquire via chatbot, i get no reply. I try to call no answer. 😫

App is useless
The app has become useless as it doesn’t want the user to login. Which defeats the whole purpose of the app, which I’d think is to increase accessibility for registered taxpayers. To login to the app is a nightmare, bordering impossible. The updates, quite frankly are just as useless if we cannot access them.

Shockingly bad app
There was a time when this app was useful but now it is too busy and pathetic. No payment record to be found and statements not clear and pay now functionality is idiotic. Who ever designed this is stupid and needs to understand customers
Two pots
App was working well past years now this two pots appear the app doesn’t even logon
Buggy
Constantly crashes. So frustrating. Booking an appointment seems like less of a hassle at this point.
Negligible Improvement
I have used and monitored this app, for long enough. It does not crash like it used to, signing in has gotten slightly better. Nevertheless, I tend to question myself for having it.
