Accessibility Enhancement Request for Sennheiser AMBEO Plus Smart Control App
Hello Sennheiser Support,
I have a suggestion regarding the accessibility and functionality of the Sennheiser AMBEO Plus soundbar and its Smart Control app.
The AMBEO Plus has several touch controls located directly on the soundbar. I would like to request that more of these physical touchpad controls and their corresponding status indicators be incorporated into the Smart Control app.
This is particularly important for accessibility. As a visually impaired user, I currently have no reliable way to determine whether the soundbar’s microphone is turned on or off. I also have difficulty knowing the current status of certain functions and, most importantly, I am unable to independently perform the sound calibration process because I cannot visually confirm the microphone status or other required settings.
Ideally, the Smart Control app should provide VoiceOver-accessible controls and status information for these functions, including:
* Microphone on/off status
* A clearly identifiable control for enabling or disabling the microphone
* Status indicators for relevant soundbar functions
* Full accessibility support for the sound calibration process
* VoiceOver-compatible labels and feedback for these controls
Adding these controls to the app would make the AMBEO Plus significantly more accessible to blind and visually impaired users and would allow us to operate and configure the soundbar independently.

Nightmare if AirPlay Stops
I had about year of usage with this app. No issues. Randomly the Airplay wouldn’t show up and I followed every troubleshooting measure possible. All in almost 8 hours of fiddling with a soundbar. I called Sennhieser directly and we still couldn’t get the issues fixed. The app and their products are the worst I’ve used for firmware reliability. The audio they provide though almost makes me deal with it. The sound they create saved them from a one star review.

Headphones keep opening voice control with no off setting
Headphones keep opening voice control despite it being turned off in the system settings, and calling people. I love my headphones but I hate this feature. Let me turn it off.
With soundbar
Keeps losing the device. Good when it works though! But, it is always going blank, not showing the soundbar - usually I have to delete the app and re download but this time even this did not work!
Doesn’t work half the time
This app is great when it works. I would say when I first got headphones it worked but now its legacy and they don’t care it seems. I’ve had Sennheiser headphones for 10+ years but this has become so frustrating - its a simple issue as well. The headphones can be found but they never connect. Sometimes if I remove the app and redownload it works but its really just random it seems.
